BATTLESHIP Hasbro Gaming: Battleship Classic Board Game Strategy Game Ages 7 and Up For 2 Players

There was a slight mix-up with the order, but the seller handled it very professionally. My 8-year-old saw a friend playing this game and really wanted it, so I bought it, and now they’re having a great time playing with their 6-year-old sibling. It says 7+, but the rules aren’t difficult, so younger kids can enjoy it too. I recommend it!

My kiddo is 7yo and can have a short attention span. I was wanting to get a game we could play that didn't involve cards and was a bit more mature then chutes and ladders. He ended up loving this game. It took us a few times of playing with me helping him for him to understand placing all of the pegs but he's got the hang now. We usually end up playing as a team against dad. The box for this set is super sturdy and will hold up for storage. But the pegs are not super tight in the holes and if the game gets aggressively bumped they tend to giggle loose a bit. Not a big deal but I don't remember having this issue as a kid.

I think this is a great game, on the target grid the pegs stay there firmly. There are extra pegs you can use if any pegs get lost. You can place your ships in 100 grid squares as well. Not all the pegs fit, but that's probably because there are spares. The game is fun overall and it is worth the buy. It does have some assembly required, but that is just popping ships out of some plastic and putting 1 sticker on each battle case. I personally love the game!

Classic game, good way to spend time with your kids!

Well it's battleship. Its not electronic so there's not much to go wrong with it. The pegs didn't seem loose to me like I'd seen in other reviews. Two big improvements I can see is #1 the peg storage. The compartments that house the pegs just aren't quite big enough. I ended up putting the white pegs where the ships would go which isn't a big deal. #2 the letters and numbers on the upper and lower grid are incredibly hard to see. I fixed that with a strip of masking tape and wrote them on it in permanent marker. These adjustments took only a few minutes. In the end, it's a fun game. The pegs are sturdy and there are certainly plenty of them and they store inside the case along with the ships. We actually just finished playing a few rounds with the kids and when we were finished it was as simple as shutting the cases and putting them in the box. When you first get the game and open it, you will find inside the box the two cases, instructions for playing the game, a sticker sheet that has two "Battleship" stickers to put on the cases, a plastic grid that has the total of 10 ships (5 for each player) that you simply twist to take apart from the grid and a bag that contains all of the red and white pegs. You will need to split the pegs evenly between the two cases. After these initial steps you're ready to just open the cases to play and shut them to put them away. I gave this 4 stars just because of the minor adjustments, otherwise it's a great game.

I purchased battleship for my 7 year old daughter. This was one of my favorite games growing up playing with my mom and brother, and had to bring it into our collection now that my daughter is getting older. Its definitely a newer version with the same concept, and I dont think improved. The pins and ships are always popping out if youre not careful on the bottom of the board. It is not sealed off which is a bummer. It always seems they never give enough white pins. However my 7 year old is obsessed and loves it. Its a great game for learning tactics, and graphs in a fun competitive way. ,

This is a wonderful, easy to learn, game. I bought it for my children, ages 7 and 8; the pieces help develop fine motor skills, and the game teaches logic and deduction. And it's so much fun! Because it's different every time it's played, they don't tire of it, and we adults love it, as well. Great game!

This was purchased for a gift --- the teen heard me talking about the game and became interested in playing it.

入っている説明書には2つのルールが書かれていました。 1. 自分のターンに1発ずつ攻撃するルール（基本ルール） 2. 自分のターンに船の残数分（つまり、最初は5隻なので5発）攻撃できるルール（エキスパート向けルール） このゲームの魅力はこれに加えて自分達でルールを追加できるところだと思います。息子（9歳）と考えたルールは、 a. 偵察機を飛ばせるルール ･･･ 自分のターンで行・列いずれかを指定して、その行・列の何マスに船がいるかを相手に申告させることができる。ただし、そのターンは攻撃ができない。また、これは空母が沈むとできないし、ゲーム中2回までしか使えない。 b. ニアミスルール ･･･ 攻撃したマスには船はないが、隣のマスに船があった場合、「水しぶき」といってニアミスであることを相手に伝えるルール。 などがあります。1、2のルールとa、bのルールを組み合わせると、ゲームの遊び方のバリエーションが増えます。ルールを考えるのに頭を使うのも楽しいですね。 あと、皆さんがおっしゃるように箱が若干銀杏臭がしますが、本体には臭いは移っていませんでした。さすがに箱は捨てようと思います。海外製品だとこのような臭いのする箱がありますので、まあ仕方ないかな、と思っています。

Great game. We liked this version that had 2 separate game pieces so you can sit comfortably while you play. Plus, the lid closes and locks in all the little pegs so they don’t get lost.
