Works great for thrush!
I had been struggling to treat my horses thrush during the spring with the constant mud. A farrier recommended it to me and it has worked wonders! It's so easy to use and lasts for at least two days in my horses hooves, sometimes longer. I use a glove or popsicle stick to apply it as it does stick to my hands and is tough to get off. It sticks in the hoof and really helps to keep mud out and treat existing thrush. I started ordering in the bigger tubs as I absolutely love using It for thrush!

Great for abscesses
My horse had a subsolar abscess which the farrier was able to dig out and relieve the pressure by draining it. Of course, that mean my horse had a big hole in her foot prone to bacterial re-entry. I'm not able to see and wrap my horse's foot every day, so I packed the Hoof Clay into the hole and hoped it would at least keep further debris out. It did that (and would hold for several days) and must also have helped draw out more abscess material, as I did not have to continue soaking her to keep pain at bay. My horse seemed MUCH more comfortable after I packed the clay in than she was with it empty. She would seem to sigh with relief once I put it in and set her foot down. Great product. A little bit goes a long way, will last a long time. I'd recommend using a tongue depressor/popsicle stick to scoop it out and apply, as it gets quite stuck to skin and is hard to wash off in a barn setting without sink access.

Doesn't stay put very well
When I can keep it in the cracks it works very well. If you have a wide crack though it will not help as it stays moist and will rub out as they walk in the grass. It has worked well to stop the white line from continuing up the hoof in the tiny cracks though. I use it also as a paste on the outer hoof wall to seal up those micro cracks and as a thin film in the grooves beside the frog as a protective barrier.

Begone, thrush! Someone's in here already!
This stuff does the job. Pack your fur monster's (clean) hoofs with this delightful minty clay and nothing bad will get in. It works.

Works better than the blue stuff on thrush
I've used Farriers Formula and Farriers Finish for years with great results so I thought I would try this on my mare's thrush and was not disappointed. She is sensitive and did not like the "blue" liquid, which seemed to irritate her when I applied it. That was not the case with this hoof clay. She stood perfectly still and did not pull her leg away or object at all. I applied twice a week and her thrush cleared up quickly, even in a seriously muddy winter. It does take a little practice to get application down, I recommend using smooth disposable gloves and allowing it to set for 3-5 minutes before setting your horse loose.

Best stuff ever for old nail holes
Horse had bad cracks this year from all the rain/dry weather + flies + consistent work. Even with 4-5 week farrier visits his hooves were cracking, this stuff has worked wonders in healing up old nail holes, cracks, and filling the hoof after work. Super affordable for how it lasts. Highly recommend!

Horse hoof thrush
My horse had thrush so bad that it was up inside his hoofs and I tried multiple things before I came across this product. It cleared it up in less than 10 days. I'll be ordering another one just to keep on hand. It was very easy to pack inside his hooves. I did buy popsicle sticks like someone suggested but it was just easier putting on some gloves and doing it with my fingers. Also someone commented that it dried out so what I did with that was I took a wet paper towel and stuck it in there after each use and that kept it very nice and moist.
