Draper3157 S11W Elora Long Whitworth Combination Spanner Set, 11 Pieces

The spanner set arrived with all 11 spanners wrapped in a bundle together inside a paper wrapping and after an international journey were quite scratched from shaking around and scratching each other.They have a chrome vanadium satin finish intended for industrial use which means that every time you use them or bash them they will be scratched or marked in some way and these marks cannot be removed whatever you do.I find it incredibly irritating that I can't just wipe the spanner clean with an oily rag and put it away as I can with other spanners I have from Facom (or cheaper brands).They are neverthless made of a quality steel and will survive years of use, and you will see that on them every single time you use them so if that bothers you look elsewhere.Be aware that the largest few spanners are really surpringly big, which you might not need if you are buying for motorcycle use..The pictures are from how they arrived. There are similar marks and worse each time they are used..

These look like good, serviceable spanners. They are by Elora tools, which I think are high quality. Some of them are enormous, despite being '3/4' size. Given the substantial price reduction, can't complain, I'm sure they will serve me well in servicing a classic Austin 7.

Groß und freudig war die Überraschung, als sich herausstellte, dass es sich bei dem als "Draper" benannten Hersteller um die renommierte Werkzeugfirma ELORA handelt. Zollwerkzeug in den alten britischen Whitworth-Größen ist immer seltener erhältlich, umso größer war die Freude über diesen Ring-Gabel-Schlüssselsatz in einer Qualität, die über jeden Zweifel erhaben ist.Ein "Muss" für jeden Schrauber, der alte englische Motorräder, Autos, Boote, Schiffe, Flugzeuge oder andere Maschinen aus der Zeit vor der Vereinheitlichung der Schrauben-/Gewindenormen sein Eigen nennt!
