Quality makes a difference
Whole grain gnocchi cannot be compared to the supermarket brands. The flavor and texture are totally different and, for discriminating palates, noticeable. I prepare these in several ways but, always, begin with just poaching them in broth (your choice depending on recipe) first. I prefer gnocchi crisped in butter or oil with the added ingredients in a recipe. It is delicious in everything from traditional Italian to tofu and seafood. I have experimented with many dishes and all were delicious to me.
