Visually awesome and great story
Visually, this is candy for the eye.The story is nice too with a "hitherto unseen" scenario for an animation movie ( I hope I am not mistaken). In any case, when you have Gael in the movie, it is always good.

GREAT Introduction to life after death for kids
We All Cried !! And , we now have a small shelf for photos of our friends and family who have departed this world . And , while we were shocked by the explicit murder , my kids (7 years and 10 years) seemed to take that horrible part in stride and the rest of the story helped us manage that challenging detail . Very Happy We Watched This Movie Together As A Family !!!

RECENSIONE BLU-RAY 3D... FANASTICA!!!

A wonderful colourful story
Well, haven't Disney pulled a rabbit out of the hat. "Dear Disney, We'd like to make a cartoon about death, loss and other poignant stuff. Also, that dead people can die even more. Mexicans will play the lead roles, in fact all the roles. There are no blue eyed blondes and our target audience is children and adults". Brave, but they've created an instant classic. The best Disney film to date. It's visually stunning. This is no cartoon but a benchmark in animated films. The attention to detail is remarkable - when these characters play the guitar they are plucking all the right strings. Disney/Pixar achieved this by placing sensors on real guitarists hands and fingers, and translated their real playing into this film. It's amazing to watch and listen and know both are real, yet in a world of fantasy. It's a brilliant. The visual gags of eyes popping out and jaws dropping adds a lighthearted theme throughout.I laughed (it's not a comedy, but it is funny). I cried (it's not a tear jerker, but it does make you emotional). I loved the 3D (it doesn't strain the eyes). I enjoyed the music (it's not an annoying opera with cartoon characters). In fact some of the singing is naturally unpolished just as any amateur would be - a welcome respite from the all too perfect musicals that precede Coco. It was just the right amount of everything, without being average. Far from it.We have this notion that passing away is a dark somber moment. In Coco it's a Marigold orange petal laden bridge to a world of vibrant colours where the fun continues, rejoice in having lived, and living some more. It doesn't belittle the sadness of losing a loved one but what it does is show you that the story doesn't end there. This story is very much that story.Remembering and memories are a big part of the plot. As the film concludes there is an emotional scene helping those who have failing memories. Poignant real life stuff set in a medium I wouldn't have thought capable of tackling such topics. You know when people smile with joy and cry at the same time? I did that. A few times actually.Curl up on the sofa with some popcorn and enjoy the vibrant dialog and visuals, the many humorous moments, the uplifting Mexican music, but have a tissue at hand for when those moments of empathy strike home and a little tear rolls down your cheek. An emotional roller-coaster that when the ride is over you feel good about this world, and the next.
