No real place for pencils. All the sleeves in or on the pouches have no bottom. The one spot they have for them is high up on the right shoulder and are so small and tight only a small #2 fits but it very awkward. A carpenter pencil doesn't even come close to fitting. Other than that not bad for the price. Good for occasional use. Not for using to make a living.
