If you make your own supplements, I highly recommend these. (In fact, I have ordered them more than once!) I use them two ways—in a capsule making jig and hand-pack. For hand-pack, which I use for immediate, or close-to-time-of-filling consumption, I put the amount of the powder or liquid in the bottom section (I refer to the longer one as the bottom), put the top on, squeeze gently until you feel them "bump" together (They have a little ridge on both sides so when they are pressed together, they don't come loose easily.). If the supplement contains any liquid, I take that supplement right away, as the liquid will start to dissolve the capsule after a couple of hours. Powdered ingredients will last for months inside the capsules, but I usually use them up within 2 months or so. When using a pill-making jig (like the capsule machine), I love being able to just grab a handful of tops or bottoms and put them into the corresponding parts. They are easy to swallow, easy to fill, and are so convenient. Every couple of months, I make anywhere from 100-150 pills each of 4-5 different supplements and have loved the upgrade to separated capsules!

I don't normally write reviews, but I had a great experience with their customer service, and I want to share it. I ordered 1000 of these capsules, and the evening they came in I used them. They worked great and didn't have any issues with the quality and I actually liked them better than other ones I've bought before. I have a capsule making machine to make 100 at a time. Different brands of capsules I've had before flip upside down as much as right side up. These seemed to do great. Out of 100, I only had to flip 4.! As I was finishing though, I was short 16 of the long halves. I had left overs from the last time I made capsules, so I just used these. I didn't think too much about it. The next day I received an email from their customer service team reaching out to see how I liked the product and if there were any issues. I told them about what happened the night before. I almost didn't say anything, but I thought they'd like to know for quality control. The next day the issued a $3 refund, an apology and that they would pass it along to quality control. I didn't ask for a refund, so I was pleasantly surprised. They have awesome customer service, which makes my a life time customer for them!

Excellent quality capsules. They made a mistake with my order. Instead of going off the deep end (many Amazon customers), leaving a horrible review, and acting like I was the only person on the planet that does not make mistakes, I contacted them about the issue. They responded within a few hours of my initial email, had my correct order fulfilled, and shipped to me within a couple days. I could not have asked for better customer service. Mistakes happen and as long as the business is willing to correct the problems, I am perfectly fine with waiting a couple more days. The capsules themselves are sturdy and go down easily. I have purchased several different brands but I will definitely be going with these moving forward. The fact they are pre-separated was a big seller for me. After I actually got the packages and was able to just open them and put them into their appropriate containers, I was sold for good! I used to have to open an entire package and then start separating. That was no fun! These are absolutely without question the way they should all be sold by every company. I love that these capsules are pre-separated for me, as it saves time and frustration. I've ordered these a couple of times, and typically, these capsules fit very nicely in my machine. But for some reason on this past order, the capsules seem to be just slightly larger than those I've received in the past. They still fit into my machine, but they're a really tight fit, and as a result my fingers end up pretty sore by the time the machine is full. I'm hoping they go back to what they were on my previous order when I purchase them again. If not, I'm considering going back to the non-separated variety.

Some batches were excellent, while others had over 50% that refused to mate, regardless of what product I filled them with. This was under low humidity conditions, which proves this is a quality control issue. Under humidity gel caps swell, so you expect problems, but not when I keep them in a sealing mason jar, have humidity control, and low humidity. Some of the cap sets that did not mate showed no damage and are easily mated by hand, so the problem appears to be they are sometimes under sized. This means they tilt while sitting in the machine. Instead, If most cap sets fail and crush or tear instead of mating, this may indicate either high humidity or that they are oversized. I have multiple brands of fillers and have used various cap brands. I can accept up to 5% failures, but not 55%. Veggie caps swell a little less, but they don’t dissolve very quickly in the stomach like gel caps. I have not tried this brand of veggie caps. To be fair, the tolerances of both caps and fillers have little margin for error. After a cap fails to mate, I throw out both halves since they will seldom work if given another chance. I have puchased tens of thousands of these gel caps, a fair trial. No more.

I saw a review saying that these were something like plastic after dissolving and caused stomache aches. This hasn't been my experience at all. I forget about them over I've swallowed them. I let one dissolve in a bowl of hot water and I almost couldn't find it after an hour, because it disolved so smoothly. My only complaint is that anytime I press them, one will wind up broken in the machine. That machine presses a hundred capsules at a time though, so that's still a 99% success rate. Can't complain

I've bought these capsules several times in the past and they have always been great quality. This batch, however, has many deformed capsules that make assembly in the press difficult. Some are worse than others but I always get a number of caps that don't seat or split or crush the edges together when I try to press them on my filler machine. Maybe they've been sitting around too long or something. I would buy them again because the price is decent and hope I just got a bad batch this time.

My wife cannot use regular aspirin pills because of the binders they use to hold the pill together so I wound up with the job of putting powdered aspirin (no chemical binders) into gel caps. Previously, I had gotten gel caps that were already joined so I had to take them apart before filling with the powdered aspirin. This product makes it much easier to use a filling machine and just insert the caps or bodies when called for by the directions. I just did my first batch of 100 caps and the machine and these capsules worked perfectly. All capsules sealed together as advertised with no "splits" or squashes. I will be getting these separated capsules again in the future when it is time to restock.
