There are two metal supports in the splint. If you don't take them out and bend them to fit, the splint may end up causing more pain than it fixes. This is my first splint, so I didn't know I had to do this. Maybe it's obvious to everyone. however, if you didn't know, this is what you need to do. After bending them a bit with some trial and error, the splint is muuuuuch more comfortable, fits well, breathes okay, and offers a lot of support. If you're between sizes, order the larger size. The only uncomfortable part is the inside of the thumb: the fabric comes too deep into the space between my thumb and index finger. That is the first spot to start to cause discomfort after wearing it for a while (now that the metal supports are bent to fit my wrist).

Quality is very nice. Fit well. Good support. Works and fits more comfortably than the one given at the ER.

Works fine, it limits range of motion of the thumb only close to the pointer finger. There are multiple positions doctors recommend to have your thumb secured depending on the injury. It works well for my hyper mobility of my thumb. For some reason the second package I got for my other hand smelled like a diaper. Make sure to get the right size for you.

The sizing is small. I initially bought a medium and I have a 7” wrist circumference, which was far too tight, so I sent it back. The large is perfect, though JUST so around my wrists. I’m a skinny guy with skinny arms, and I think the Large is sized for people with thicker forearms than mine, but it works just fine once I trimmed off the excess Velcro, which is what yer sposed to do. It’s a good, quality product.
