RUSTINS Small Job Gloss Paint Buckingham Green 250ml

Great idea for small paint jobs. As I usually buy the bigger Dulux tins and by the time I go to use them again they have skinned over. This WATER BASED paint is great for skirtings, door frames etc .I used the Rustins GLOSS WHITE on my window ledges and it seemed fine but has more of the texture of emulsion paint and I fear wouldn't take wiping with a damp cloth so I had to pay £21 for a 500ml tin of DULUX GLOSS as it is oil based and has a tougher finish . Yes, I know it goes yellow after a couple of years

RUSTINS GPWHW250 QD Small Job White 250mlI don't see the point in buying large tins of paint for small jobs as it mostly goes to waste and isn't really good for the environment, this tin from 'Rustins' is only 250ml, may seem small but is ideal for those small jobs in the home where a large tin just isn't economical and environmentally friendly.I have a few cats in the home and there's a section of skirting-board in my hallway that they just love to sharpen their claws on, why I don't know but after a few months it needs a coating of paint, again.So this paint comes in a small 250ml tin, needs mixing in before use to get the right consistency as it does arrived in a settled state. I just used some fine sandpaper on the area of skirting board that needed paint, wiped clean, allowed to dry and went over it with this paint. It applied just like gloss paint would, gave a smooth, clean finish and I left to dry, which didn't take long at all, just a few hours.I didn't notice hardly any odour from this paint, other gloss paints I've used can completely fill the house with that noticeable paint odour but not this one.Twenty fours hours later and my skirting-board looks as good as new, wouldn't notice one bit that my cats had been practising their woodworking skills on it.I did have some paint left and have ensured the lid is completely closed so that I can use it again, I might get another patching up session done before having to buy some more.The paint brush come very clean afterwards so at least I can use that again.Overall, it's a good price at £5.76 and will be buying again in the not so distant future.Highly recommended.Update 3 days later:My cats seem to approve of my handy work and have once again started to scratch the area I had painted, I give up!AmazonCustomer B01LY5MKWN 160722
