Garmin DēzlCam 785 LMT-D 7 Inch Truck Sat Nav with Built-In Dash Cam, Full Europe Lifetime Maps, Traffic and Bluetooth,Black

This is great. There is no way I can fault this truck sat nav.However, a word of caution. Because it connects to your phone (Bluetooth) and Internet (wifi) and the excellent dash cam camera is recording I find it 'glitches' alot for the first '10 mins or so' of switching it on.I think it's just a software clash?While everyrhing is starting up (including it's Android system) it flicks off and back on a few times?(You don't have to connect it to a phone.)If you have already set a destination it remembers your route and picks up where it left off..Maybe it's just a bit too good for it's own good . Trying to be everything?Traffic information, speed camera alerts and hazard warnings, lane notifications... Etc.. all great.Once its up and running I can't fault it.UPDATE: I've had this for some time now and I love it. I don't use all of the features and I agree with others that it doesn't like to detour and is reluctant to give you a 'cross country' route for an artic.. but I know my way round and I get it to give me the route I want.Also, the glitching I mentioned is an easy fix. Just don't shut it down!When the screen is off it will sit in a case or the box for weeks before the battery dies. The instructions say that it uses very little power when 'hybernating' and that's true.Wake the screen, accept the user agreement and it's ready to go.Good solid piece of equipment.

Very good sat nav, fast, reliable online trafic, accurate routes.It has a better quality integrated dash cam then the previews model, but..., is very sensitive to the micro movement of the lorry and the image has that wave effect, wobbling image, quite annoying. I hope the garmin will fix that with a firmware update as is a very expensive product.

Get me everywhere I need to get. easy to use.

Telephone voice command is not on the sat nav although it is advertised as being 1 of the features. But other than that i like this sat, big screen, set truck dimensions, voice command for address, connect to a smart phone for weather and traffic updates

The media could not be loaded.  So where to start! It’s a good size.Pros: Chunky and well built. The magnetic stand is the best I’ve ever had. Easy to input truck size and dimensions etc. Easy to input destinations and store favourites. Clear and concise screen and instructions. Changes from day to night map in good time especially when travelling through tunnels. The map keeps up with your driving speed.The dash cam is very good quality and very clear. A bit juddery in play back on the unit. But once downloaded to your phone it really is good quality.Cons: whilst the magnetic holder is good the actual windscreen mount is rubbish. If you drive over a slight bump the whole unit moves. And this rendering the sat nav useless as you then have to stop to re-adjust the unit to carry on using it.The mapping is out of date. For example a junction near me was altered 8 years ago but according to the unit I can still turn in to it ….. I can’t as it’s no entry. But as with all sat navs directions should be taken with a pinch of salt.The unit display the speed limit for the road you are in …. My advice … ignore it as it’s not always accurate.Overall it does the job. But the software does need updating.It is an expensive unit. But I’m a firm believer in “you get what you pay for”As John Ruskin once saidIt's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. Whenyou pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you paytoo little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing youbought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. Thecommon law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting alot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is wellto add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you willhave enough to pay for something better.

ive tried using this sat nav for the past 3 days and I really don't like it, firstly there's only one position in the cab you can have the sat nav to make use of the dash cam! as the camera no longer swivels like the older versions do, it also seems to be on the wrong side of the dash cam like they couldn't be bothered to change it from left hand to right hand drive. while driving at night because the dash cam doesnt work effectively the lane guidance and forward collision randomly beep for cars going past in the right hand lane! I've been using this side by side with my old cheap sat nav off ebay which in my opinion is miles better. the only reason i bought this sat nav is because i have to manually avoid roads ahead etc with the old one. the traffic works intermitently and alters my route for me regardless of wether i want it to or not. ive posted some pics of it telling me theres no traffic ahead while im stuck in traffic! then add into the fact on the second day the sat nav froze up completely! as i had positioned the sat nav out of my 45 degree angle i couldn't do anything with it!!!! last night for instance it gave me a 20 mile detour for a road closure that had a 2 mile diversion in place............. 20 miles really? then there's the problem that if you ask it to detour it adds a massive amount of time to your journey..... clearly not bothered about my drivers hours are you garmin? my older sat nav once i ask it to avoid the road ahead asks me how many miles i would like to avoid the road for. now lets get onto the phone feature this doesn't work from voice commands so if i want to call the depot and tell them i'm going to be late because my sat nav has given me a 20 mile detour and ive ran out of drivers hours ill have to do it manually when ive been forced to stop and take a break........ for the money i paid i expected so much better! i bought this following reviews from the older sat navs as mine is due an update id say this doesn't compare to those reviews at all and ill be returning due to it not working as advertised.

Llegó todo perfecto. Antes de lo previsto. Lo actualizé con el portátil y direcciones perfectas en carretera nacional como internacional. Tiene más funciones pero poco a poco voy investigando.

Das Navigationsgerät ist einwandfrei. Für Busfahrer genial. Die Halterung zum aufs Armaturenbrett stellen ist eine sehr gute Erfindung.

Très bon produit hormis ,lors des mises à jour quand il y a une perte de signale ou qu'il se met en veille il faut recommencer toutes la mise à jour, et les imitations de vitesse ne sont pas bonnes comme sur autoroute signaler à 80 au lieu de 90 .

Navigatore ottimo !!! Fa il suo lavoro!!! Basta impostarlo bene e saperlo usare !!! Molto comodo perché riceve la posizione da GOOGLE MAPS tramite la applicazione SMARTLINK che altri navigatori non fanno , l'unica cosa che non piace è il TEMA della mappa, ha un brutto colore sia di giorno che di notte, speriamo che con qualche aggiornamento si possa scegliere più TEMI per la mappa , TEMI troppo mediocri e di colori lavati, del resto lo consiglio vivamente.

Estoy en ruta internacional y en más de 16 meses nunca me ha fallado esto por que es un producto de mucha calidad y personalmente he sabido configurarlo correctamente con mi trailer además hay que usar lo responsable y no esperes que te dirige hasta la puerta de las oficinas como he visto algunos comentarios por ahí que personalmente estoy discrepando 100%
