Works sometimes
Works sometimes. Usually requires a restart after computer sleeps. Really annoying.

Works right out of the box and represents great value
Worked like a charm right out of the box with my 2017 MacBook Pro, running the latest Mojave beta. Iβve been using to configure Ubiquiti switch, a process that has been flawless. Amazing value too.Mind you if I had to levy one critism it would be that of a lack of led connectivity indicators. Merely a red light on the back of unit vs where the rj45 connection is.

Works with MacBook Pro 2018 and iPad Pro 11" 2018
I am quite happy, this adapter is inexpensive and works perfectly on my iPad Pro 11" and MacBook Pro, both with USB-C connectors, no drivers required. I haven't tested the speed, but on both devices is detected as a 1GbE connection, and "feels ok" on my regular data transfers, which include a lot of NAS transfers and iSCSI stuff.

Very fast on my gigabit network
Works great with my laptop. Very fast speeds just as I would expect. I use it on a wired gigabit network and get that speed. I wish it had an activity light. It gets a bit warm, but overall I'm very happy so long as it continues to function. I will update if it dies.

Excellent high speed solution for a Razer Blade or similar. High Speed transfer great, local multiplayer now possible
I've just recently purchased a Razer Blade 14" Gaming Laptop and there's no doubt that it is a performance monster where gaming is concerned. I have a NAS drive which had a load of family photos which i wanted to get onto my laptop however this was going to pose a slight issue. As i rooted around for a network cable to plug my laptop into the NAS drive (btw it wasn't on the network hence why i didn't use wifi.. and the files were huge) i endeavoured to locate the RJ45 ethernet socket on my shiny new laptop... Hmmm there isn't one, what am i going to do now? After scratching my head for a time i realised that the USB-C thunderbolt was able to support a number of different devices. Is it possible that there is a USB-C to RJ45 adapter? A quick search on Amazon revealed a selection of different options. I chose this particular one for a mixture of reasons, including price, appearance, reliability and other factors. It arrived in relatively plain packaging but i expected nothing more. Plugging it into the USB-C port and then connecting the RJ45 network cable resulted in an almost instantaneous network connection verification icon in the taskbar. It was as simple as that, and the NAS drive appeared a short time later.A great option if you have either a laptop like mine, or even a newer ultra slim laptop (HP Spectre? Lenovo Yoga? etc) which may not come equipped with a RJ45 socket.Another great use for the RJ45 is for local multiplayer gaming which it also performs perfectly with

It does what it offers to do...
First time in my life I started using a computer without an RJ45 port and in this age of wireless technology I didn't think that I would need one until I had to buy a wireless range extender. Range extender came with a network cable to configure it so I had no choice to get one of these devices. Looks wise I like the USB connector and the RJ45 connector, but the cable looks a little tacky. But it did the job very well and thanks to it I now have a working range extender. I have to say that the title is misleading as it can be used with any computer that comes with a USB-C port.

Don't buy for 1gb capability
Decent to just add a wired connection to Wi-Fi only device but will not achieve 1gb speed on my latest model android tab probably due to usb 3.0 and os combo limitations max output is 280mbs which is no good for my requirements
