Gone for You: A Rock Star Romance:: Sixth Street Bands Series, Book 1

I loved Cameron with Lily. They are perfect together.
Gone For You is book one in the Sixth Street Bands series by Jayne Frost. In full disclosure here, I have already read books four and five of this series and have fallen so in love with them that I wanted to go back and read the first three books that I missed. So, I already have a connection to these characters. This is Jayne Frost’s very first book, her debut into the world of book publishing. As the book progressed, I felt the flow get better and better, or maybe it was just my love of the characters getting stronger and stronger. I think it was probably both. In any event, I loved it. I love these wild, damaged, loveable band mates. And I can’t wait to introduce you to Cameron, the lead guitarist, and Lily, the sweet girl that stole his heart!Cameron Knight is the lead guitarist of the band, Caged. Caged is on the rise in Austin, Texas and the band members are all living the life. Groupies are at every venue that were ready and willing to entertain them for a few hours. Cameron and his band mates are in Dallas for several days for a concert. When they arrive at a secluded resort Cam first sees her, and he’s instantly drawn to her. This feeling is foreign to him since he’s not the least bit interested in anything other than one night stands since that’s all he has time for. But maybe he can spend some time with this beautiful woman while he’s here, just so he can get her out of his system. Then move on, just like he always does.“Her blond hair swung from side to side, mimicking the sway of her hips. A smile played across her lips, crinkling the corners of her piercing blue eyes. My heart nearly stopped.”Lily Tennison is almost ready to graduate from art school. She is working two jobs to pay for her education, one of which is at the resort. She noticed Cameron right away but she knew what his reputation was, what sort of women he went for. And she wasn’t one of them. Still, when he makes it known that he wants to spend time with her, she can’t resist.Cam’s world is completely foreign to Lily. She is so hesitant to let him in, to let herself believe that this could be anything more than just a short little blip on his life. But the more time they spend together, the more he breaks down her walls and wins her heart.“She stole a piece of me that I could never get back. Or I gave it willingly. Either way, something shifted, and I felt it so intensely I didn’t know whether to run or hold her so tight she could never get away.”There is more at play, here, though, than just Cameron and Lily. There is a manipulative manager, and Lily’s equally manipulative mother. Lily has been beat down all her life, made to feel like she is less than nothing. It’s a wonder that Cameron was able to convince her even a little bit that she was the one for him, that she was perfect.I really did love this. I just can’t get enough of this series. It was also really great to see how Caged ended up being managed by Twin Souls. This is such an amazing series I hope you’ll give it a try. I have a feeling you’ll fall in love with the members of Caged, just as I have.

Great first book in the series!
I reviewed this book and the second one in the series (Fall With Me) at the request of the author. I am so glad that they reached out to me to review these books because they were AMAZING! I really loved getting lost in these books. Plus they were cute, quick reads and that was exactly what I needed at the time! Now on to the actual review of this book!So when I received the request to review these books, I was already interested just based off of what the publisher sent me. However, I was not expecting it to be told from the perspective of a male. I’m not sure why, I just wasn’t. But I’m so glad it was because it made it so much more interesting! If you follow my blog, you know I LOVE having the male perspective in books! For some reason it completely wins me over. So I was super excited once I realized it was told from Cameron’s perspective! At first, Cameron is your typical douchebag famous band guy. I didn’t particularly like him, but I also couldn’t really blame him for his lifestyle either. He, nor I, was expecting his whole view on love and relationships to change when he met Lily.I immediately fell IN LOVE with Lily’s character! She was so sassy and refused to be treated like a piece of tail by these band guys. I LOVED IT! Plus, she was super petty with Cameron and it was quite entertaining. I actually found myself literally laughing out loud at some of the things Lily would pull with Cameron.Another thing I really loved about the book and Lily, was that Lily was in NO WAY made out to be PERFECT. She actually had a stutter, which was super cute. I’m so thankful to Jayne Frost for doing this because most of these books have this absolutely flawless girl that gets the guy. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed have a female MC that had a very obvious flaw.I didn’t expect things to progress the way they did in the story, but I really like that it did! It was just all of a sudden full force and it was AWESOME! It really made me fall for Cameron when he finally started opening up to Lily and letting himself be vulnerable with her. It also made me think that there may be something more going on between them.Y’all also know I’m a sucker for finding out where the title of books come from and this one was SUPER CUTE!I know things can’t be all rainbows and butterflies in life or books, but I completely went on a RAMPAGE for a minute will reading this book. Lily is such an idiot in part of this book and I was just thinking you CANT BE SERIOUS right now! I hate these girls that dont see what they have and leave it behind! I dont care what it’s for, it’s not worth it in my opinion. The reason this gave me all the angry feels is because it’s coming from someone that is dying to have what they do and they just THROW IT AWAY!Thankfully, it was only 24 book hours of misery before everyone came to their senses. And the ending was so cute. I LOVED it! I wanted to dive right into the next book immediately. AND I DID!

I Really Liked it!
4.25 stars. This book literally has sat on my Kindle unread since June of 2015 and I'm kicking myself for not reading it until now. I just had the best time reading and it was a one day read.Cameron is guitarist and singer for a rock band and Lily is the daughter of a major society presence. She's the debutante that had a coming out ball and is the black sheep in her family due to her desire to be an artist. When she meets bad boy Cameron at the exclusive resort she works at they immediately become involved.I loved the romance between these two and enjoyed their journey to a happily ever after. I felt the story was well written

Short and sweet
I did like this story but it was short and all kinda what I feel is cliche so nothing overly special . The main characters were likable and the band cool to get to know . A nice easy read
