I ordered this Sympathy Gift Box, because my family recently suffered a loss and I thought this might help ease the pain. I think that most persons suffering this kind of a loss would appreciate it. It does have some scripture prayer cards and some people may not believe in that type of thing. It has many other things to comfort, too. A candle, fuzzy comfy socks, oatmeal soap, a solid mug, and a fake succulent, in a tiny pot. A fake plant might be the perfect plant, when a person is grieving and not thinking about keeping plants alive. It comes in a nice box and everything is very neat. I think it is a good gift, but a little expensive. I took away one star for the current price.

The whole package is a bit underwhelming. The candle's scent is almost pleasant but there's something to it that's confusing and not good. The oatmeal soap doesn't have a scent at all, the affirmation cards can really only be displayed one at a time, so even though there's a nice pouch to put the rest in, it's kind of a strange thing to have. The mug is about the nicest thing in here, along with the fuzzy socks. I'm not sure it makes a great sympathy gift, but if you're gifting it to someone who is aggressively Christian and likes birds? Sure?

This set is so cute and so sweet. Very good gift for anyone that just lost a loved one. This is a more religious set that builds on the popular saying “Cardinals appear when angles are near.” You can however remove the prayer cards and then nothing else really references any religious beliefs if you would prefer that. Everything in the set is well made. This is not a cheaply made box of junk. The candle and soap smell great. The sayings on everything are very touching and well written. The packaging is perfect and gives it the perfect touch. Piecing everything together yourself could easily cost $35, so this is a great price.

I wouldn't give this entire box to one person. That's just me, but if you chose to, it's packaged beautifully. I will break these items up and gift separately, and maybe pair up 2. Each item is very nice. I think the soap is not necessary and a little odd if this is truly a sympathy gift. That's why I'll break it up.
