Egermeier's Bible Story Book

I have purchased this book for the church library, for grandchildren and for children of friends. This isno doubt the best children's Bible story book ever written. It accurately tells the story of the Bible from the beginning to the end. The pictures for each story are beautiful. This is a must have book for the Christian family. It will instill Biblical principles that will last a lifetime for your children.

The Egermeier's Bible Story Book was order of 2 books is for 2 of our grandchildren and 1 for a great-grandchild-to-be.This book goes back prior to my birth and I remember my mother reading Bible stories to me from it prior to me being in kindergarten. Moving forward about 25 years, my spouse bought this book to read to our daughters, and one of the daughters read it to her 2 children. In a few months, one of our granddaughters will have her own small baby to whom she will read the stories. This is definitely a multi-generational hit.The stories are accurate and follow the scriptures from which these stories are derived. In addition, the art work is a good depiction of life 2000 years ago.BOTTOM LINE: My wife and I would definitely order this book again. It is an accurate presentation of the stories in the Bible and the art work is something children will like.

Finished a preschool Bible for my grands, this is the perfect next step to help their Bible knowledge grow! Great reading to him - he loves the pics.

The perfect companion to the King James' bible to make clear the meaning of bible stories. This is for my son's 13+ common entrance exams in RS in two years, but it is a wonderful general education to learn about the many inspirational bible stories. My (just-turned) 11 year old son has been reading - and loves - the Greek and Norse myths since he was 7 and I now feel that this should also have been true of the bible stories. We had felt that the bible stories were somehow different from the Greek myths - too firmly in the religious category - so only covered them briefly, but reading them again, they have so much to teach and are as interesting as classical mythology. My son has really enjoyed these 'translations' which make clear and frequent cross references to the bible and which frequently use language from the bible. I also bought a 1947 copy from an Amazon seller of this which I definitely prefer for the more elegant writing and sophisticated expression. My (formerly homeschooled) son is used to reading this kind of writing from the traditional books he has read all his life and he also prefers the older version, but this one is good for general use and perhaps more appropriate for childrens' levels of literacy today.

This is a wonderful way of covering the entire Bible. Very nicely written. Not only is it great for children, it has helped me in understanding the Old Testament and some more complex portions.

I bought this my my kids. Has history and the world views of the Bible characters and history at that time, includes many characters that are not included in most Holy Bible. I recommend this book. Wish more pictures be included.

So so so perfect for pre teen early teen bible learning. My daughter reads the stories to my younger children as well we all enjoy it.
