A Unique Earl Grey Variation
Chocolate Earl Grey from TWG is a chocolate variant of Earl Grey that from the canister has definite notes of cacao in its aroma, but there seemed to be some other familiarity with the aroma that I truly can’t place it. It wasn’t until later that I realized that its fragrance actually reminded me of tootsie rolls. My first sips found me pausing to savor the interesting combination of the bergamot with the chocolate. The bergamot appears at the finish and gives a lift to this blend wherein the chocolate notes are notable at first and then finished off with a rich smooth citrus note from the bergamot. It’s not a bad combination at all, but does take several sips to get used to. Overall I quite enjoy it. This is a smooth blend but does have some mild astringency that shows with the mouth feel. I did try this with a splash of vanilla infused cream and it held up well. Overall it wasn’t a favorite of the earl grey variations I have tried, but it is one that I would have now and then for a change.

Bird feather
The order was delivered without issue, and the tin was nicely sealed. However, when I went to unseal the tea to drink, I noticed a bird feather sitting at the top. Since bird flu is still a topic of concern, I don't want to risk anything by overlooking this. Buyers beware, check the tea before consuming...
