It does have different DSP settings which are nice but mine does not save my setting when I power it off and back on (which the manual says it should save). However, I also bought a pair of Harbinger MLS1000's from GC on sale and I will say they are better quality with better sound and hardly any noise. They also have a smaller footprint which I like. But I will probably purchase another s-1203 and use them for larger outdoor shows. I think the noise will be null when playing a show outside.
