Carraway Watch for Men, Quartz Three Hand Movement with Leather or Stainless Steel Strap

Honestly, I’m not a watch collector but I’ve managed to end up with a small collection anyway. For a year or two I wanted a ‘Tank’ type but didn’t have to money for a ‘you know’ the brand I’m talking about. There are some very nice affordable alternatives out there, but this Fossil Carraway stood out and looked to have a good specification with a reasonable size, not too small or big. My watch arrived next day (fantastic Amazon service) in its ‘boutique like’ green painted tin box (nice touch Fossil). It was in a flawless condition but surprisingly running with the crown pressed. I ordered the FS6077 with rose gold ss case, dark green croco 22mm strap, silver dial, black numerals and rose gold ’syringe’ pointers. From the internet I understand that the movement is a Japanese Miyote (Citizen) standard type that takes a common SR626SW, R377 battery. Hopefully this will give a battery life of up to 3 years. If it matters to you the accuracy should be better than plus or minus 20 seconds per month. I have a 6.5 inch wrist and the watch is a perfect fit with a lug to lug size of about 41mm. Having no day or date makes it easy to set. If I’m not using a quartz watch, I will pull the crown to save battery. Should you want a different strap, the quick release mechanism makes this extremely easy. Would have liked “blued’ effect pointers but this seems to be available on other Carraway types. I love the retro look of the Carraway and it feels and looks a lot more expensive than it actually is.

This Fossil Carraway watch is very elegant with a clear, readable face; unfortunately, it failed on two points. Firstly, the watch is unsuitable for a person with a wrist size of over 8 inches. Had I known this, I would not have bought it! Furthermore, after just a day, the watch stopped keeping correct time, despite three resets over three days.

Ho scelto questo orologio Fossil perché unisce semplicità ed eleganza in modo perfetto. Il quadrante rettangolare con numeri romani gli dà un tocco classico che mi piace davvero tanto, mentre il cinturino in pelle lo rende comodo da indossare ogni giorno. La cassa color oro rosa è discreta ma raffinata, senza risultare troppo vistosa. Nel complesso trovo che sia un modello ben fatto, curato nei dettagli e adatto a qualsiasi occasione. Sono davvero soddisfatto della scelta
