Used alot. Great patterns and really interesting intros about the heritage of knitting and yarn in each country

Beautiful book, in very good condition. Lots of patterns that I would like to knit. Very pleased.

Bought this for a friend for her birthday as she wanted a book on European knitting patterns. She was absolutely delighted with it and I'm sure it will keep her happy for a long while. Some very good ideas in it as well, I noted, so there's lots for her to do.

There are some great ideas in this book but I'm not sure I'll knit any of the designs. The yarns from Scandinavia are easily obtainable on the internet though, and I might well try some of them out. I'm slightly puzzled that the author left out Faroe, as they have a big knitting tradition and a thriving yarn industry that's worth looking into as well.

Not really sure why the book has this title. If taken from the Nordic theme, most of these garments would fit into other cultures. Nevertheless, some very nice designs and lovely colours. A good coffee-table book.

表紙のセーターに心を射抜かれてのポチでした。でも表紙だけじゃなかった。どの作品もとっても素敵です。文章での説明、しかも英語。ハードルは雲の上で見えないほど高い。辛うじてフェアアイルだけ編み図が部分的だけどあるので、挑戦するとしたらそこからかな？でもいつかは編みたい・・・

The projects in this book are beautiful. I can't wait to get some new wool and start a new project. I think I'll start with the girl gloves first.

It is one of the most informative and beautiful pattern books I've seen. If you love to knit I highly reccomend adding this one to your collection. The instructions are color coded,which I love. The illustrations and large photos are wonderful.I thought it was a great by at any of the prices listed. The patterns are up to date in fashion and I reviewed it with a friend who has High school and College age girls and she agreed that the girls would love the sweaters and many clothing patterns provided.

warme wollige Norweger habe ich erwartet und es gibt einige besonders schöne Beispiele, dazu der wunderschöne Pullover vom Titel, und innen auch noch mehr Lochmuster, insgesamt wirken die Modelle charmant, stilsicher, unaufdringlich und sehr gut tragbar, typisches skandinavisches Design.Es gibt zu jeder Region von Island bis Schweden eine kleine strickhistorische Einleitung und mehrere Kleidungsstücke in vielen Größen. Die Anleitungen enthalten größtenteils gut verständliche Strickschriften, einfache Muster werden Reihe für Reihe erklärt (übersichtlich, keine Textwurst) und die Schnittskizze ist komplett für alle Größen bemasst - inch und cm!Die Wolle ist in selten gut sortierten ausgewählten Fachgeschäften zu haben aber auch ersetzbar (zum Teil durch Sockengarne, zum Teil mitteldicke Wolle) Schwieriger wird es wenn man partout Nadeln 3,25 oder 2,75 haben will ... Dreisatz und Internet sei Dank, lauter gut lösbare Problemchen.Das stimmungsvoll fotografierte Bilderbuch ist sehr schön anzuschauen und erstaunlich vielseitig in der Modellauswahl. Und es hat einige Muster die genial einfach zu stricken sind und ganz erstaunlich wirken.

I bought this book for one pattern in particular, and found that it contained a nice variety of Nordic and Celtic patterns. This is a nice addition to my library of knitting patterns.
