Modern Sashiko

A book on modern sashiko
I have been doing traditional sashiko for a number of years and I was looking forward to learning some more modern techniques. I found this book very disappointing. It certainly introduced colour stitching into the sashimi patterns, but not much else was new. This is only my opinion though and other readers may find it offers them much more. The author is renowned for her books and stitching, so if you are interested I suggest you give it a go.

It allows a beginner to understand the Japanese art of stitching.
I liked the descriptions of the individual stitches

Okay book
The "look inside" feature wasn't working when I bought it and I thinks it's a bit overpriced for what you get (I paid £8.99). Templates at the back of the book are useful.
