Discusses how to overcome fears, phobias, and panic attacks, improve intimate communication, cope with anxiety, and deal with many other everyday problems Review: A neat read, you have to follow the instructions.. - I got this after a breakup i didnt see coming, it helped me with alot of different things and how to recognize issues and things before they happen.. i would recommend it for anyone having trouble in a relationship, or a break up, i then threw it in the firefit outta drunken rage one evening....Its been over a year and things i learned in the book have helped immensely! I still miss my ex, but am moving on with a new relationship and am implementing the thing i learned!! Its going great for me so far! Review: The Gold Within The Feeling Good Handbook - When one has their "head in the wrong place", it's just amazing what a research-based technique and a well-designed structure can do for us, to identify mis-guided thought patterns and how to alter one's thinking of how one is thinking, feeling, and reacting - a great exercise in metacognition! The "pearls of wisdom" that lie within this book are truly invaluable for all of us to improve our outlook, our perspective of what we're doing to ourselves and our relationships, and the quality of our lives. If only many of us would lay down our own barriers and attitudes of denial and just make the attempt to put this book o good use, we'd look back and say, "Why didn't I see this earlier?"

This is not what you're after just to read something and feel nice just because you read it
By no means a page-turner, this isn't your average feel-good pop-psychology self-help read. This is not what you're after just to read something and feel nice just because you read it. This book is for when you are ready to get down to business and dedicate the time to make real, meaningful change in your thought life. Classic kind of cognitive behavioral therapy. I would recommend it.

Teaches one how to understand one's emotions
I've used this book for years and left it behind when I moved. Mistake. I use whenever I don't understand my feelings. It helps to straighten out my crooked road.

Looks like an interesting book and I can't wait to read ...
Looks like an interesting book and I can't wait to read it, it was recommended to me by a doctor friend who believes in cognitive therapy and not taking anti depressants and other things to make us feel better. I really appreciate that and this book is giving me a different take on how to cope and how to react to things. Different perspectives are always interesting.

Everyone deserves to think better and be happier.
If you are not a Staret, bodisatva or yogi, you probably should read this book and really work on these exercises. Granted, the author is a less entertaining version of Mr. Rogers, and his examples are kitschy but what he tells you to do, works. Once you understand the principles, you can make your own version of the practices. Happiness and clear thinking are hard to achieve, but with this book, and a little work, not so hard.

Helpful Book
I love the book but the condition was not as good as I expected. It had some damage to the cover and there was writing on some pages.

GREAT BOOK, common sense for better thinking patterns.
This book is like common sense for thinking in productive and positive ways. Everything makes sense to me. Of course, changing habits can take time, but the rewards are absolutely worth it. LOVE this book and have now purchased several copies of it since I keep giving my copy away.

Classic CBT book.
If anything this book promotes mindfulness and acceptance. It rewards attentive reader and I'd recommend it to anyone who is serious about their mental health and seeks clear solutions. Nothing tops therapy, obviously, but for a person in need this might be the next best thing.

Very serious and challenging
This book is not walk in the park, even though the author is with you every step of the way. Through numerous assignments and exercises, you are challenged to face your hidden behavioural contradictions and bring them out into the fore.

Excellent pour appréhender les thérapies cognitives
Encore mieux que le livre de base, celui-ci comporte de nombreux exemples, en particulier comment répondre à une personne qui vous envoie des messages peu agréables...
