Love these dumbbells. It's like having 5 sets of dumbbells in the space of one set. They are adjustable from 2.5 to 12.5 lbs. Perfect for my therapy exercises and my daughter's workout. Selecting the proper weight is simple. You rest them on the base and twist the grip. There is an arrow that points to the chosen weight. When you lift them, the corresponding weights are lifted. They are also so colorful that they make me want to use them. A plus for me. I leave them where I can easily see them and will pick them up and do some lifting several times a day. It is really helping me with my arm pain. They are solid, well constructed, have a good grip and a good value for your money.

I can't recommend these enough. They're great. I especially love the colorful coating on them. They're going to last a really long time. Super easy to change the weights on. I've been an avid lifter for 20 years and as a woman, these are a great buy for a home gym. The grip is rough though, so I suggest getting some cheap lifting gloves.

Very happy with the versatility of these. Use them in our RV when camping. Only one wish that the weights could be attached to the stand when relocating. Minor inconvenience though.

Inexpensive. Easy to change weights. Looks great with smooth colorful coating, has a great grip, appears durable and takes up very little space. Now, if I can only convince the person for whom I purchased it to start using it so I can comment on its ability o provide a good workout.

Easy to adjust and comfortable hand grips

We downsized recently so we don't have room for the home gym that we used to have so I had to look for some new equipment. I liked the idea of adjustable dumbbells, my wife liked the coloured plates :) Adjustable dumbbells are great space savers but I wasn't all that sure about the safety of them, no one wants a plate (or two) dislodging when they are over your head. We have used them now for a couple of months without any problems, the mechanism to adjust the weight is simple to operate and it hasn't been a cause for concern at any time. Adjustable dumbbells are way better that having a rack of the (now) old fashioned cast iron dumbbells and a rack cluttering the room up. Add to that these adjustable dumbbells work out to be considerably cheaper than buying the old iron ones. Once you see how they work (a simple lock / unlock mechanism) it makes me wonder why it took so long to design adjustable dumbbells, as far as I'm concerned they make the old dumbbells Museum pieces. By the way, the wife was right about the coloured plates, they do look good. We are very happy with them, we highly recommend them for a home gym.

I live in a small aprtment and needed weights that would not take up much space. The changing of weight rotates smoothly. They would not be much good for someone who has been lifting for a long time, but for someone just starting out...they should do for months. Well made and feel extremely sturdy. As a bonus, they are very pretty. Extra note..you will want a set of weight lifting gloves. The metal bar is rough on the skin.
