I am so excited with this amazing little cube! I had initially been looking online for something that would provide my 8 year old son with a clock, a night light and the ability to play some music and relaxation sounds before bed when I stumbled across this gem. I had been sceptical at first that perhaps my son, who adores his books and is already a confident free reader, was now a bit too old for a story player. But then I realised that this is SO much more than an audio player and now that I have explored it myself, setting it up for his birthday, I am SO excited for him to receive it. This product will ignite a new enthusiasm for bedtime reading and I know that it will encourage him to want to explore and engage with new stories and learning, and combined with all the other functions it has to offer, it will be the perfect addition to his bedroom. Things to note: -Arrival of item and packaging are absolutely spot on. Opening up the product and following the simple instructions for set up was smooth and enjoyable. There is an App to download that syncs in with the yoto. -You can set the times of the daytime/ nighttime display mode so it is essentially like a 'gro' clock too! You can even set an alarm! -There are even free yoto radio stations and sleep sounds which I particularly love! -There is a card provided with the yoto player which gives you clear instructions on how to use the player with a list of top tips. This card can then be used as a make your own card and you can download your own content to play! -The variety of cards to purchase is amazing and there is something for every age group including fiction, non fiction, music and educational.

My 5 YO loves the Yoto player, it's a great way to create immersive fun. As it's not a screen and lacks anything that requires too much attention the kids can listen excitedly about whats happening, great way to integrate clocks and learning. The daily news can be a range of funny jokes, interesting facts and many other positive & fun chats. We love the Tidy up timer and of course the dailys with Jake! My 5 YO is excited for tidying up, listening and cuddling in while having a laugh from some jokes. The cards are great too, a very simplistic idea that again brings what's usually electronic/digital into a physical format which is wonderful for hands on kids and creating a 'screen free' time. It also has a night light function that we use alongside soothing sleepy sounds, all in a neat & rugged little package that looks both sleek modern & discreet. The Yoto in general is very positive product, I genuinely feel it has been catered to the correct needs of our children keepings things fun and interesting whilst not feeling 'boring'. It's a joy to have in the house and I enjoy playing the guessing games with Jake too😄

My son and daughter absolutely LOVE their YOTO. Easy to set up and start using within minutes. The large buttons at the top make it easy for the kids to navigate the volume, lights, YOTO daily and the radio. They enjoy listening to Jake each day which is fun and engaging, they particularly love Sausage Fridays! The radio is easy listening that turns into soothing tunes at nighttime, which my daughter enjoys falling asleep to. The variety of cards to choose from is fantastic, from funny stories, factual card, reading books, inspirational people and much more. The cards are easy to insert and when not in use compact to store nearly in a card holder. I love everything about this little box, its a brilliant audio box that has enriched my children’s lives with its variety and ability to bring spoken word to life.

Great look and also has nighlight feature and day/ night setting. Stories are great. Also you can record your own stories to a card. We now have a story that was read by our boys granny.

Bought this as a birthday present for our 2 year old. She absolutely loves it and it is a fantastic alternative to screen time. She learned so quickly how to change the cards,” and adjust the volume settings, and we all enjoy the Yoto radio feature as it’s not just annoying children’s songs that play on the radio but normal music too! This is great to use as a nightlight although it’s not overly bright, some colours work better than others on the nightlight setting Amazing selection of cards on the shop at a decent price too. Great functionality on the app as well as directly on the player. We haven’t made much use of the podcast as my toddler is too young to be interested in that for now but what I love about this is it’s truly a device that my toddler can grow with and I feel like she will be using this for years and years to come!

Great, not too big, can be used to listen to stories, listen to their daily updates each morning, clock, music and night lights

I had been dithering about buying one of these for a while as I wasn't sure if it would be a bit too young for my son, even though it says suitable for up to age 12. However I needn't have worried as he absolutely loves it. While he can read on his own, and we make a point of reading together every evening, he also really enjoys putting on his favourite stories and just relaxing listening to them. I was also really impressed with how wide the selection of cards available was, including a good range of educational ones and music. He is currently enjoying the Horrible Histories selection. He also likes the radio and podcasts. Another reviewer mentioned that they had used their player for car journeys, which I hadn't thought of. We took it with us this weekend when we had a long drive and found it really useful. Another plus point is that it doubles as a night light / alarm clock, allowing us to replace his Gro clock which was on its last legs. My only slight gripe is that the cards are relatively pricey, but they do make good presents from relatives.

Love the Yoto player! So many cards available to entertain little ones without screentime. Lots of options for all ages

I had no idea what to expect when we bought this for our 4yo for Christmas 2024. We got the base Yoto Player (3rd Gen) and have been super impressed by what it can do without the purchasing of additional cards. The Yoto Player is essentially a device that plays different kinds of audio content for your kids. You can buy additional cards that play different games and stories. Think of it like buying addition audio books for your Audible account, etc. That said, it's completely usable without buying additional cards and is actually quite high quality. The speaker is surprisingly fantastic, even at the higher volumes. It's incredibly simple for kids to use. There are two orange knobs on the top of the device that let you control volume and what mode it's playing it. One press of the right knob kicks off the free Yoto Daily podcast. Two presses will kick off the Radio mode. The Yoto Daily Podcast has been so much fun for our daughter. Jake, the guy who hosts the daily episode is hilarious and super child friendly. Today we were doing "Jakes Says" (Simon Says) and it was a blast! Every day is filled with some sort of fun, story and trivia, it's wonderful. The Radio is just as great with a choice selection of kid friendly music. The audio books you can often get for free are great too. My daughter loved the Frozen one over Christmas! The battery life is fantastic and will only need a regular charge if the device is running non-stop all day or night. Speaking of nights, it has a nighttime mode you can control via the app on your phone. We use it to play white noise for our daughter which has been great. During this mode it displays the Moon on the pixelated screen (not meant to be a proper display), which helps her remember it's nighttime and not to get up at 2am. You can also turn the device onto its face which turns on a gentle glow backlight to light up the room if that's what you need. Overall, SUPER happy with the device and the ability to control it via mobile app. I can't wait to get some cards and see what else it can do!

The Yoto Box has been such a great addition to our home. We previously used a Tonie Box and decided to get this one for our older son, and it’s been a perfect step up. It does take a few minutes to figure out the buttons at first, but once you get the hang of it, the ease of use is great. The overall functionality really stands out, especially with the option for chapter books—my son loves that he can continue listening to Harry Potter. The screen display is a fun and useful bonus, too. We’ve been impressed with the sound quality and loudness, which are both clear and strong enough for everyday listening. The quality and durability feel excellent so far, and it definitely seems built to last. Overall, we absolutely love it and highly recommend it for older kids.

The Yoto Player is a must for anyone with kids. There are so many benefits to having a Yoto player - screen free time, fostering creativity and imagination through listening to the audiobooks, great past time, and easy interface. My kids can listen for hours and hours and the battery will last that long. It requires minimal parental supervision as the kids can just turn it on themselves. It’s a great quiet time activity or when they wake up early in the morning and have a bit of down time. I contemplated getting the Yoto mini for travel purposes, but I am glad I got this Yoto player. Although bulkier than the mini, the sound quality is way better and the amount of times I actually wanted to bring the Yoto player somewhere is less than the amount of times they use at home. Although you can buy their cards, the Yoto app makes it easy for you to create your own playlists and just use the one card that comes with the Yoto player. The one thing I would caution is that the volume button can turn the sound quite loud and the kids may be tempted to fiddle with it. However, with a few reminders, my kids soon understand how to adjust it to a reasonable volume.

We started with the Yoto Mini but the cards could be a bit tricky to insert and play so we upgraded to this one and it was a great decision. Our toddler can easily change cards and songs on his own. We have also paired some headphones to it and he feels very grown up. The Yoto fosters independence and reduces screen time or boredom indoors. The cards are great and it is easy to setup. It also can be an alarm clock and night light but we haven’t got there yet.
