The first remote would not pare with the tv and caused a lot of trouble and eventually Amazon agreed to send another one which was easy to pare

Only works if it's an "additional" remote, doesn't work during "initial setup"
Ordered one of these as a replacement for FireTV Cube - 2nd Generation (as it says in the description it's compatible). When it arrived, it wouldn't pair (the FireTV cube was factory reset, on advice from Amazon). I couldn't get past the initial "pairing" stage of the setup process. Thought it may be faulty, so requested a replacement remote. The new one was delivered and it also didn't work. Tried also using the FireTV app - This will connect but again, will not let you get past the initial pairing setup screen.It's a genuine remote, from Amazon but sounds like this will only work as an "additional" remote, I.e. You already have access to the home screen and want to pair a replacement/additional remote. 2 of these remotes did not work for me and both are going to be returned for refund. I was looking for a replacement remote, for a device that was £130 when bought but looks like I've got no other option than to either purchase a completely new device (I like the FireTV Cube's as they are very fast and responsive, plus the added perk of having Alexa built in) or exploring other smart devices for the TV such as a Roku.I also can't afford to test other replacement remotes anymore, and there are so many cheap knock-offs on offer (directly through Amazon). I thought for £30, this genuine remote would work with my device, as noted as "compatible" in the description.

Easy quick replacement
Very easy to set up. Dog ate my old controller so didnt have it to be able to set up a new one. That didnt matter with this one. Glad I ignored the cheap copies & went for the real thing.
