The Sword of Truth (Wakefield Dynasty #1)

Wow! Gilbert Morris really knew how to write. I don't really care for his recent work, but I stumbled across this series and could barely put this first book down! The research he must have done for this series, and for the House of Winslow series which I also HIGHLY recommend, is astounding. I love historical Christian lit so this was definitely a wonderful find. I hope the rest of the books in the series are just as good!

Wonderful present

Great book. Still in the process of rereading it, but I love the MC of this story, and I love the way he weaves through his life and tumbles into new situations. I'm no history buff, but I love the way the time period is described, and the way the characters act in the situations they find themselves in. The writing feels smooth and never forced. Great book.

Yes, my friend loves this author's books so I bought this one as a birthday gift. Excellent book for sure.

I had to read this as a book club selection, and thought it looked like a sappy romance novel. Boy, was I wrong! It has it all... action, adventure, drama, and yes, romance. But not the sappy, harlequin kind.It had me hooked and I couldn't put it down. It's the kind of book that makes you want to run out and grab the next one, so you can see how the story continues!I highly recommend this book and as one earlier reviewer put it, "don't just a book by the cover."

I love this book especially the price. The shipping cost more than the book itself especially when its only 1 cent. I cannot beat that. I read this book at 13 and its so wonderful as an adult to read the book again especially as an adult.
