EXCELLENT VIDEO AND AUDIO QUALITY
Recently purchased and fully tested. Easy to install and pair with the IMOU APP thanks to clear instructions supplied with the doorbell. The doorbell can fix to a upvc door frame with the 3M sticky pads or to brick and rendered walls with supplied wall fixings. I used the rechargeable batteries pre installed, however, there is an option to hardwire, connections supplied. The battery is still holding its charge with only a 1% drop each day. Once in operation, the video clarity is of a high quality both during day and night vision. Microphone quality and auditable volume is also of a high quality which I have tested while speaking to a courier driver remotely. There are many options to adjust the viewing angle, detection sensitivity, and cloud storage options. The IMOU APP allows the use of multiple products from different locations and WiFi addresses which is a bonus. Overall, the quality of the camera was better than my expectations and works well with my other security camera at another address. There is seamless access and monitoring ability from mobile and WiFi access from anywhere in the world which provides an extra layer of security and piece of mind.

Great Doorbell Cam - Clear video/audio - No flase alerts so far!
I decided to try one of these Imou doorbell cameras as I've already purchased several of their home cameras (two for home when away as a pet cam, one for holiday home when away, one for for mother-in-law who didn't want to keep paying for a subscription and wanted to try one)First point, optional subscription! You can subscribe but you can also put an SD card in the wall plug unit and access saved videos from there.Secondly, works really well with minimal if any false alerts so far. Set my detection zone in the app to avoid the road/pavement/passers by, sensity is on maximum, distance maximum and loitering detection to the minimum of 8 seconds. Great to alert you to deliveries who now seemingly like to knock and run or just leave on the doorstep!Thirdly, works great at night.....the IR is very good with good night vision imaging.Fourth.....you can move the lens! Left to right to detect that 'funny noise' you heard outside like when a neighbour broke some glass the other day!Battery life.....very good. So a week in, with all the playing about with settings, testing etc, weve lost very little battery, about 15%, so with less messing with it, I'd say easily 8-10+weeks possibly more between charges....still to find out (BTW, it can be hardwired to old doorbell supply too)Takes minutes to fit. Screws and sticky pads and the mounting frame is very secureSound is really clear......heard the canadian geese flying over head on it the other day.So far, so good and the first doorbell cam I've had. Very happy.

If you don't need to connect to ring or google, this is a BETTER choice!
I have been trying out this new doorbell for a few weeks now, and so far this is my honest opinion.Firstly, very nice packaging - well protected, and generally professional and good quality. The doorbell feels solid, but the backing plate feels a little flimsy, like it could break if you needed to remove and replace it. I probably could have put it higher up, so I might try and see if I can move it to find out. It can be fitted with adhesive pads or screws - I went for the pads but now not sure I can move it.The chime comes seperate and plugs into a socket. This is a rebust chime, but it would be nice if the plug pins could be rotated 180 degrees to allow plug installation either way up in a socket in a tight space. The chime itself is good, but honestly could be louder. One major disadvantage is not being able to purchase additional chimes, so it is difficult to hear when you are upstairs (I only have a two bed house).Even bigger disadvantage is not being able to connect to Google Home or Alexa - this would have made it a major competitor to the Ring and Google doorbells - probably better - but they can ring all over the house through the next / alexa speakers, which is a MAJOR advantage. It is an attractive, sleek design and obvious camera for security deterent. The camera is amazing - better than the google doorbell, and can rotate left and right - even automatically following a subject! It is easy to set up and will work with a SIM card in the chime or you can purchase a web cloud subsubscription, but this is not a requirement. Another amazing advantage. It works via an app on the phone or PC, which is really easy to use, opens faster than google home, and interfaces with the doorbell when pressed, including clear audio and picture. I have found though that general recording of 'loitering' when someone is around but doesn't press the button will not trigger an activation on the app, which is a disadvantage. At least to have this option would be great. Not all burgulars will press the doorbell...The IR camera at night is top quality. Generally the picture is very good, and impressive. The sound quality is also on par.A nice function would be the option of having downloadable chimes. Not necessary but fun. There are only a few basic ones, which is a shame. Surely this would be easy to add on.In summary a great doorbell, but not always easy to hear in all parts of the house, can't purchase an additional chime, and can't work with Google or Alexa. These are big drawbacks to an otherwise outstanding camera.I did manage to get the backng plate off easily in the end, so it can be moved - some spare pads would be a nice option though. If you don't need to connect this to a display like google home to see the person, and you don't need to connect it to google speakers to ring throughout the house, then THIS is the better doorbell to buy. I am only going back to my google doorbell because I can't hear this everywhere in the house, and can't easily see on other devices. Shame, it really is a great camera!

Chimes but no phone notification or video, if your not in you would never know it had been activated
works as a doorbell but never calls my phone to notify me of anyone at the door no matter if I'm in or out when they call which is kind of what its main function as a doorbell camera is!I can log into the doorbell camera on the Imou app and all of my other Imou cameras work fine, if you ring the doorbell the receiver unit chimes fine however it just doesn't call my phone or notify me in anyway that anyone has pressed the doorbell. if I'm in i hear the chime, if I'm out I'm none the wiser, kind of defeats the purpose it was bought for. When i was setting it up and tried it at my desk it would call my phone and the video image came up when you pressed doorbell, now nothing, even if I'm standing right beside the doorbell to test it, rather an expensive item just to be a plain doorbell!Battery life seems good but realistically this is most likely because all its doing is sending a signal to the mains chime receiver so that doesn't take much energy, if it was actually calling my phone and showing video of who was at the door etc i expect the current good battery life would be very different.overall rather disappointed
