fast and accurate.
I left my range finder on my cart and forgot to recover it and the club never found it.(I am sure a caddy at the club has a new range finder :). I was going to buy a new bushnell and I thought the price was to high for what I really need a rangefinder for. For an excellent price and great performance after a few rounds I think this is the best priced full featured range finder on the market. High quality and feels like it is built really well.

Quality product for the price!
I bought this range finder as a suggestion by Amazon. I previously had a Bushnell Tour V6 which is a $400 range finder. Don't get me wrong. The Bushnell was nice but this one has all the bells and whistles. Unfortunately, my Bushnell I left stuck to the cart and someone took notice and took it home with them. So I never got it back unfortunately. So this time around I figured I'd go on the cheaper end and not spend as much money. Well, let me tell you that this is one of the best range finders I've ever tried and owned myself. It has a scan option. Set it to the Scan mode and just point and scan around the course/hole and see the distances. They are pretty accurate. My nephew has a Blue Tees and ours are pretty identical in distance give or take 1-3 yards. The buddy mode is even better. Know where your ball is and have to do cart path only? Take it and use the buddy option. Scan your ball with the buddy option then scan the flag from your cart and it will triangulate the distance for you without having to stand behind your ball. For $100 bucks this is by far one of the best range finders I've every used. The only complaint I have is with the zoom. It's a little hard to twist and change the magnification. At least with mine anyway. I'm not sure if anyone else here that has bought it has had this issue. I have to twist it back in forth a few times to loosen it up but otherwise no other issues. The quality and feel of the range finder is nice. My Bushnell was big and felt hefty but I sometimes had trouble getting the flag. This one is a bit on the smaller side but still feels well built. I can't recommend this range finder enough. Looking for a good price range for a great range finder? This is it.

Affordable and Accurate Range Finder
Just started using this one. Works okay but will not shoot the pin through the windshield so you have to get out or lean out if the windshield is up. I had a Bushnell previously and it performed through the windshield without a problem. I have not gotten the two ball feature to work yet but that is probably on me. It is very compact and the magnet on the body works well to stick to the cart frame. It looks to be a quality product that will last a long time. It is very accurate and matches what my partners get with their devices.

Feature Rich at a Fair Price
I’ve used the GOLFBUDDY 2S PRO for over a year and more than 40 rounds of golf. Waiting this long to write a review has allowed me to evaluate it in real-world situations rather than after a handful of rounds. Pros 1. Outstanding Value At this price point, the GOLFBUDDY 2S PRO is difficult to beat. The feature set rivals many rangefinders that cost significantly more. 2. Accuracy I’ve compared it side-by-side with rangefinders from Bushnell, Blue Tees, and Garmin. The accuracy is essentially on par with all of them. When there is a difference, it’s usually within a yard or two. Honestly, my iron and wedge game isn’t precise enough for a one-yard difference to matter, and who’s to say the competing unit is actually more accurate? In practical use, I’ve never felt disadvantaged by the GOLFBUDDY’s measurements. 3. Features Slope compensation and a magnetic cart mount should be standard features, but surprisingly they aren’t always included in this price range. The magnetic mount, in particular, is something I’ve come to appreciate every round. 4. Buddy Mode Buddy Mode is the signature feature of this rangefinder, and it works exceptionally well. There are two situations where I find it invaluable: When the tee box is set back from the cart path or staging area. I can shoot the tee marker and then the flag, grab one club, and head to the tee. Anyone who has forgotten a club on a tee box after carrying several clubs knows how useful this is. On cart-path-only days. Instead of carrying multiple clubs across the fairway, I can calculate the distance from the cart and take exactly what I need. This also reduces the chance of getting grips wet or leaving clubs behind after an approach shot. There are other useful applications, but these are the situations where I use Buddy Mode most often. For anyone wondering, I’ve found the accuracy in Buddy Mode to be just as good as Scan or Pin Seeker mode. Cons 1. Not Rechargeable This is my biggest complaint. In 2025, it’s hard to understand why a rangefinder isn’t rechargeable—especially when there isn’t even a battery level indicator. Nobody wants to carry spare batteries around just in case. 2. Pin Lock Can Be Challenging This is one area where I occasionally notice a difference compared to higher-end models. When a flag has a cluttered background—trees, bunkers, or other objects behind it—it can sometimes take a few extra attempts to lock onto the pin. I’m not sure whether that’s due to image stabilization, magnification, or something else, but it’s noticeable from time to time. 3. Water Resistance Could Be Better The unit is rated IPX4, which is adequate, but I’d like to see better weather protection. A sealed battery compartment and rechargeable design could potentially allow for a higher IP rating. Anyone who’s been caught in a surprise shower—or had the sprinklers come on while the rangefinder was attached to the cart (ask me how I know)—would appreciate the added protection. Features I’d Like to See Added 1. Apple Find My Integration This would be huge. I’ve left the rangefinder attached to a cart more than once. Thankfully, it happened at courses I play regularly. Integration with Apple Find My—or even a built-in AirTag-style tracker—would provide tremendous peace of mind. (For those wondering I stuck a AirTag on mine using an elevationlabs luggage AirTag sticker- see image) 2. User-Selectable Startup Mode About 90% of the time I use Pin Seeker mode. Every so often I’ll switch to Buddy Mode, and then the next time I turn the unit on I have to cycle through modes again. Allowing users to choose their default startup mode would be a simple software update that would noticeably improve the user experience. Final Verdict Despite my criticisms, this is still a 5-star product. The combination of accuracy, slope functionality, magnetic mounting, and the genuinely useful Buddy Mode delivers exceptional value for the money. Could it be improved? Absolutely. But at this price point, the GOLFBUDDY 2S PRO offers features and performance that compete with rangefinders costing considerably more.

Great rangefinder for the money.
So far a great experience. The rangefinder is very fast. The first time I checked my distance it locked on so fast I was shocked. All the functions work.

Wow,,Triangulation tech Crazzzy accurate and supper convenient.
So I am freaking lost my Nikon cool shot at the golf course...ugh, seriously. Anyway, while I was on the hunt for a new rangefinder, I stumbled upon the Golf Buddy Laser 2S Pro, and apparently, it's got this new triangulation tech. my curiosity got the best of me, so I grabbed one. And wow, just woo!!! This thing is a total game changer. I was sitting in the cart, on "cart path only." just chilling, and it calculated the distance between my ball and the cup, even factoring in the slope-like, perfectly. Then, on a par 3, while everyone else was standing up at the tee box measuring the distance from the tee to cup, I just stayed back in cart, casually measured the distance from the tee to cup, picked my club, and strolled over like a boss. It doesn't get more convenient than this. I've always had shaky hand, so it would take forever to get a reading with my old rangefinder. I had to rely on the vibration reduction feature of my Nikon. But with this bad boy, it locks onto the target in under a second. You just. scan, and the zolt? feature gives you this satisfying little buzz when it's locked. Oh.. and it's got a magnet, so you can just stick it to your golf cart, which is super handy. I'll admit, at first I was a little skeptical since it's priced in the $100 range, which is way cheaper than some others, but it made my playing so much more fun. No regrets at all!!!!

Great Rangefinder!
I have really enjoyed this rangefinder. For the money, I don’t think you could do any better. The buddy feature works flawlessly. I have been able to get my distance from the ball to the pin from my cart during rounds of cart path only and the distance has been within a yard or less every time I check it from the fairway. Magnet is strong and it has yet to fall off of the cart. Would definitely recommend this range finder.

Accurate - when it finally locks on to the pin, but that seems to take a while
This rangefinder is lightweight and easy to hold. The magnet seems pretty strong and sticks to a golf cart well enough. It gets a 3-star rating because it does not reliably find the pin and gives me distances to objects in the distance. When there are trees beyond the green, it frequently reports the distance to the trees and not the pin. I have a Garmin golf watch that is also not reliably accurate, but rarely off by more than 10-15 yards, so I can check the distance on my watch against the rangefinder's distance to confirm that the rangefinder has correctly found the pin and not the objects behind the green. When the 2 devices report wildly different distances it's time to try the rangefinder again. EVENTUALLY, it will lock on to the pin. Many times I've tried to shoot the flag itself, thinking that the larger object would be easier for the rangefinder to lock on to than the pin. However, it, or mine at least, seems to ignore the flag. On a positive note, when it DOES lock on to the pin, the distance it reports matches pretty closely to what others get with their rangefinders. For years I used a Golf Warehouse branded rangefinder that worked really well right up until it would no longer turn on, but that model is no longer made. I had high hopes for this one, but no dice. I prefer to walk when possible, and usually will when the course is cart path only, so have only tried the triangulation option a few times. On one occasion it was within a yard or two, when I checked it from the ball itself. On another occasion it was off by well over 10 yards. I wouldn't rule out user error as the cause of the inaccuracy. All in all, I wouldn't buy this one again, nor would I recommend it.

Great range finder
Small, stable and fast to calculate the distance. Compared to a previous range finder, I prefer this one as I can easily hold it. It comfortably fits into my trouser pocket or jacket pocket I wish it came with a wrist strap and that is the only negative I have found. Certainly value for money. Not sure why I would need an expensive range finder. Recommend this!!
