Great Seeds - Saved My Marriage
The package arrived very quickly, with instructions in Korean and English - I actually just ignored all of these instructions and went ahead with my own method of sprouting these bad-boys. I already had some jiffy seed starters and a heat mat purchased from starting off my basils and tomatoes earlier this season. In about 5 days I saw sprouts, I placed 4 seeds per seed-starter, with about 10 seed starters. 6 of the Jiffy's had 3 out of 4 seeds sprout, 3 of them had all 4 out of 4 seeds come out, and 1 of them was a completely miss on all four seeds. It's a pretty good ratio granted I had to cull the extra sprouts to create space for the plants. The wife is ecstatic as these seeds have turned into very healthy plants. The only problem is that now she wants to eat Korean BBQ all the time with me at home, and the smell in the house is ridiculous, not to mention the garlic breath associated with eating all this KBBQ. Honestly though, with all the kimchee that's being eaten in this house too, we can't complain about a little nasty breath - it does add an unpleasant twist in the bedroom though.

Not a single seed germinated
The first time I ordered these seeds from this vendor a few years ago they germinated wonderfully and were perfect, but this year not a single seed germinated even after soaking and following all of the instructions. I believe these are old seeds that are past the expiration date as I have never had trouble growing this brand in the past. Very disappointing.

Very easy to grow!
We planted these last summer to eat with fresh spring rolls. Absolutely delicious, but it took over our little garden bed somewhat, lol. Turns out it grows like a weed in zone 8, not that I'm complaining! We initially made the mistake of scatter planting the seeds and it seemed like every one of them sprouted, which resulted in us having to cull halfway through the summer. This year we'll definitely sprout then transplant.

The perilla leaves and Korean peppers haven't sprouted at all even after 10 days
I ordered three types of seeds, perilla leaves, Korean peppers, and cucumbers. Cucumbers sprouted a few shoots in just 3-5 days after planting, but the perilla leaves and Korean peppers haven't sprouted at all even after 10 days. It's really disappointing. I'm not sure if the seeds are old, but I contacted Amazon customer service today, and they said they would refund the price of the perilla leaves and Korean peppers that didn't sprout to my credit card. Very satisfied with their response.

Prolific but strange flavor and texture
Prolific! Seeds germinated well! Before I knew it, my grow box was filled over the brim with these leaves. Been searching for recipes to use up these leaves that continue to grow even after I pick them. The taste is—can’t explain it except to say it does not taste like sesame seeds nor does it compliment anything. Leaves are a bit tough, I made kimchi with the leaves and the flavor was interesting. I wouldn’t make it again. Husband doesn’t like the taste of the leaves and he tries just about everything.

High germination rates, mature plants taste great
Excellent germination rates. Flavor is as expected. I love this herb--so many uses, can be pickled, wonderful used fresh. Very unique taste. My only complaint is that having to pay shipping makes it rather expensive for a packet of seeds. It's a better deal if you buy it elsewhere where you can buy a bunch of different seed packets instead of having to pay shipping for just one. But the quality of these seeds is good. If you're having trouble with germination, try the damp paper towel method instead. Fold up a damp paper towel (not dripping wet but not too dry), place seeds on paper towel and place paper towel into a zip top bag. Check on the seeds daily to make sure they're not too dry or getting moldy. As soon as you see sprouting happening, move the sprout into moist soil-less potting mix. Don't overwater, but don't let the seedling dry out while it's still very small. Once it has a few true leaves, you can stop being too obsessive about keeping the soil moist. If growing outside, it's easier to start it indoors like this and then transplant it out when it has a few true leaves.

Good quality seeds!
I was a bit worried that these won't sprout but was I wrong. We planted a few of the seeds and moved them to a larger pot. Some, we planted with another plant and one, we planted it by itself. The one taking the whole pot to itself definitely grew larger. Since these will grow 2 leaves in place of the 1 cut off, I would recommend harvesting the leaves strategically so they don't end up too top-heavy.Our larger plant yielded at least 30~40 leaves in a matter of 1-2 days. They grew REALLY well through some cold days (I'm in Ohio) and storms. We finally had to trash the plants from this season around late November, but these will grow indoors really well too.We are currently experimenting growing them in a aerogarden.
