Why did you choose this product over others?: You recommend this axe head cover to go with the 1.25lb Bahco axe I bought. It doesn't fit! While the axe head slides into the pouch, the velcro strap that is supposed to secure it, is no long enough to wrap around and fasten. It's either a bad design or a bad recommendation.

IF your axe is less than 6" in blade to back length it will not fit that well, just another 2 inches this would have fit perfectly. The velcro strap is just not long enough for my tool, but I did like the loop at the back which lets me hook it up, I might have to build my own velcro extension a bit of material and stiich some adhesive velcro on either end, and I can increase the length of the grip. What would improve this is putting in an already made velcro extension, to be able to fit more axe's you would have to make it a bit wider, and longer, and the velcro could be stretchable instead, and have it almost like neoprene to hold it together, as neoprene stretches but inside it can be lined with anti blade cutting material to prevent the sharp axe from damaging it's way out during storage. I would say this is better for 5 inches or less axe/hatchet 5" maybe just a tad under being the sweet spot.

This is a simple cover to protect the blade of your hatchet from damage and to also act as a safety cover. Check the dimensions carefully, as there is not a lot of adjustability in the design.
