Easy to use and works
I'm redoing a bathroom after a shower screen shattered. There is a lot of old sealant to remove. Bought this and currently part way through removing the old sealant. I'm pleased with how well it works - it's simple to use just a matetr of painting it generously over the old sealant having removed as much as possible with a knife, waitinf 20 minutes or so and removing the sealant with a plastic scraper. Also included in the bag was a corner scraper tool that can be easily adapted to neatly apply the new sealant. Overall, very impressed with this stuff for a reasonable price that will save me hours of scraping

Works a treat & over paintable
This stuff works. You can even paint over where silicone used to be, which is a huge bonus. There is still a lot of scraping to do after you have put this on. Some residue needed more than 10 minutes soaking time. You can soften the actual silicone beads with it, to help remove them. Then reapply to the bits that are left. It smells like WD40, which is a silicone, & also lifts silicone. However you cant spray that, & then paint. As its airborne it's a nightmare. I would purchase this again if I needed more. The council workmen love silicone! They use it everywhere & far more of it than needed. Silicone is the bare of my life.

Does the job but takes a few goes
Good product and tool but does take a few attempts to remove everything. Does the job well and at a not bad price

It's ok but I've used better
I bought this Zep Silicone Sealant Remover to help remove old silicone and it definitely makes a difference. That said, it doesn’t remove everything on its own. Even after using it, there’s still a fair bit of silicone residue left behind, so you’ll need to spend time scraping and cleaning afterwards to get a really neat finish. Overall, it’s useful and does help reduce the effort involved, but don’t expect it to be a complete one-step solution. Good as a helper product, just be prepared for some extra work.

Sealant worked really well but not the tool
The sealant worked really well but I wouldn't bother with the tool. Plastic not sharpe enough

Worth it
Having tried removing bathroom sealant with and without this I will always now use this. Without it, what seems like an initially simple job ends up taking far longer than expected due to all the little bits of silicone left over. This enables you to scrape those away with relative ease. You'll still need a bit of effort but far less than you'd need without it.

Don’t waste your money on this.
Don’t waste your money, the plastic scraper is useless I’ve scrapped & scrapped trying to get the dried on hard silicone off but it doesn’t touch it, so I applied the Zep Silicone Sealant Remover & I was very liberal putting it on, I left it a good 15 minutes like it said but it hardly touched it, I’ve now spent £38 on different things. So I’m now on the lookout for something else. I’m certainly not happy when the products advertise says it will do the job but doesn’t.
