Solaray Sharpmind for Memory
I used this product last year and then I stopped. I realized Solaray Sharpmind did help with focusing and memory. I have been using this product again and will continue.

Clinically studied Cognivia for brain health
This is a great memory support supplement, with its main active ingredient being Cognivia, which is a blend of sage extract and Spanish sage essential oil. Each 2-capsule serving provides 600 mg of Cognivia, which is the clinically studied dose shown in research to improve working memory and attention. It’s a very interesting ingredient for cognitive benefits and I have seen a lot of published science on both Cognivia and similar ingredients such as rosemary extracts. The formula also includes 100 mg of Gotu Kola extract standardized to 10% asiaticosides, which is a decent dose and adds some potential brain health support. The final listed ingredient is 50 mg of fermented chaga mushroom mycelium biomass, which is basically just filler at this dose and form. Mycelial biomass is not the same as fruiting body extract and doesn't contribute much here, especially not at 50mg.So far, I’ve noticed mild improvements in clarity and focus when taking this with my breakfast, but the benefits are subtle. Still, the science is promising and it's a healthy nootropic supplement that I imagine is providing some benefits even if you can't feel it.Overall – it's a great cognitive support supplement, and I like the inclusion of the clinically studied Cognivia.

Easy to take
The brand is well-known in the states and is sold in stores, which influenced my decision to get these. The pills are smaller than what is stated on the box, making them easier to take. I haven't had any issues with my Gi system from taking it or any adverse effect from taking it. There is no odd taste or aftertaste.

Science backed ingredients by a brand I trust
The media could not be loaded. This review is for Solaray’s Sharp Mind: Memory (with Cognivia Sage, Gotu Kola, & Chaga mushroom).I just received this product today, Jan 12, 2025; so, I will be commenting on the product quality and ingredients now, and then I will update later with the results after taking it for a few weeks.Of note, I am very particular about any supplements I take, because I want to be safe about what I put in my body. I always research the brand and the ingredients, but I also look into where the product is manufactured and whether it is actually 3rd party/lab verified. There are several products that might state this, but then not supply the testing results, which is suspect to me. I also check the lot numbers, manufactured and expiration date. When supplements don’t have a lot number, I get suspicious. So, to start, this product is created by Solaray. Solaray is a reputable brand based in Utah. You can find their supplements in stores as well as online. This product in particular was manufactured by Nutraceutical Corp USA. This is also a well known manufacturer. Those are the two first great things I noticed.Next we have the ingredients, which include Cognivia sage (trademarked by Nexira), Gotu Kola, and Chaga mushroom. I didn’t know sage could be good for memory, so I googled it and found an article that specifically mentioned the science behind Cognivia sage ( combo of garden sage and Spanish sage ).Cognivia has been shown to increase working memory by 9%. As stated on Nexira’s website, it also “demonstrated a systematic and overall significant decrease in Reaction Time throughout all test points, which could lead to higher attention performance for e-gaming.” And “ Cognivia™ has shown a significant overall decrease in Rate of Perceived Exertion compared to placebo.”I like scientifically backed ingredients, but I also tracked down the clinical study and read the results for myself, because double checking fact statements is something I do in medicine.I mentioned earlier that I received these items today, Jan 12, 2025. I am happy to report that this product was manufactured in November of 2024; so, it’s only 3 months old! And the expiration date says Nov 2026, which means I have almost 2 years to consume it. I don’t plan on taking 2 years though… I plan to take it daily. The serving size says 2 capsules, but I always start any new supplement with a lower dose, just ti check for any reactions. So, I only took one. I will take one for 3 more days and then likely increase to 2 per day.If note, even though the box has a picture of a pill saying actual size, that is incorrect. The capsule is slightly smaller than that. I posted a picture of this for reference.Lastly, the bottle has a protection seal around the lid, and under the lid there was another airtight seal. I appreciate that Solaray is doubly cautious about the freshness of their product.Okay, well that’s all I have for now. I will update and reveal any results in a few weeks. But as it stands, I’m excited to try this science backed product by a brand I trust.

Improved brain functions with only a half dose
The first day I switched to these from a similar product marketed under a Whole Foods brand, I was pleasantly surprised that I noticed improved focus and clarity of thoughts. Especially since I typically take only 1 capsule vs 2 - along with the few dozen vitamins, supplements, and health adjuvants I take almost every day in my anti-aging protocol. Both products contain salvia extracts, but they are not the same extract. Both salvia products have clinical evidence to back up claims of benefits. Each has been proven to help some parts of the brain more than others.Since I got these I've mostly alternated taking the 2 different products to ensure I get the best of both worlds. Uncertain I can continue both longterm, what with the economy declining, inflation continuing to climb, etc.; but for now I'm glad to have them in my arsenal.Being a Solaray product, I trust its quality 100%. Solaray has been around for ± 50 years and I've been familiar with their line of supplements for at least 30 of those years.

A Holistic Approach
The SOLARAY SharpMind Memory Formula is a promising brain supplement with a blend of well-researched ingredients. I trust Solaray’s products as they are well known. I didn’t expect instant results, and you shouldn’t either. If you're looking for a natural approach to memory and focus, this product is worth considering.

Tested in USA
Something to know about these supplements is that they are tested in Utah and the bottle itself is made out of recycled material, if that is a concern. I'm not sure if that means they are USA made though. As I am already on a brain supplement, it is difficult to ascertain if my overall 8 out of 10 mood improvement and energy level is based upon switching to these as it's only a 30 day supply. Easy to swallow and tasteless capsules.
