A good bike but it arrived with some damage.
This is a difficult review to write as I've had problems with the bike. It arrived a week after ordering, which was excellent, but the box was damaged and one corner was only held together with sticky tape. There was a quite large hole where the axle of the front wheel (which was loose in the box) had worn the cardboard away. On opening I discovered that the front light was broken, probably damaged by the front, and the User Guide was for a different model. So, things weren't off to the best start. In fairness to the seller, an email secured a photo of the correct manual within a matter of hours, which I was able to print out. Unfortunately, being translated from, I assume, Chinese, some of the instructions were less than clear and a couple of the features illustrated weren't actually on the bike. Again in fairness, the pictures on the product page and the description there are accurate but they don't match the User Guide. In the first section of the guide, on "installation", it says. "A review of the outer packing, place the packing up", and "Carefully remove the frame, paper and tied with demolition". If that's clear to you then fine but it's not clear to me what it means. After that, the pictures relating to building the bike are okay but there's no mention at all of how to fit the mudguards so you're on your own with that. I took the bike to Halfords for them to check it for safety, just in case I'd not assembled the bike correctly, and it took them quite a while to work out how to fit the front mudguard. They initially thought the rear brake wasn't working until they realised that it was operated by the right hand lever. I've also ended up, even with the help of Halfords, with a surplus nut, bolt and rubber spacer. I have no idea where they are intended to go.One major issue for me is that the left hand brake lever operates the front wheel brake. This means that when making a hand signal I can only activate the front wheel brake which I feel is a little dangerous in an emergency and it's not what I'm used to. It may be that some people prefer it this way and that's fine but I dislike it.The bike is, in my opinion, very sturdy and the folding system works well but, that said, it's a very heavy bike, weighing in at around 60lbs so it's not easy to carry and although I have a Vauxhall Grandland X I can't put the bike in the back without folding down both back seats. The only way around that is to take the front wheel off every time it goes in the car and that would be a real nuisance with such a heavy bike. Also, I certainly wouldn't want to take it on a bus or train as, unless you use some sort of strap to stop it unfolding it can be difficult to carry. The stand is a little too long and holds the bike perfectly upright. This means that even a slight touch on the left side will send it tumbling over. There doesn't seem to be any way to adjust the stand and, if there is, it's not shown in the User Guide. So, why 4 stars and not less? The bike is, broadly speaking, as described on the product page. The fact that I find it heavy and unwieldy when folded may not be a big issue for others but it's worth bearing in mind. The seller has been quite helpful, friendly and easy to contact with prompt replies to emails so that's helped solve some of the problems although I'm still awaiting a replacement light. Would I buy this bike again. No I wouldn't because of it's weight. This is also the last time I buy a bike via the internet and build it myself. Had the assembly instructions been better my opinion might have been different but that wouldn't have altered the fact that the bike arrived in a damaged state.

E Power Fab
Early days of ownership, but so far I am very impressed. E Power mode is brilliant and allowed me to keep up easily with my 14 year old son on recent 8 mile off road hill climb on South downs. General build quality very good, some parts (mud guards, handle grips, seat, pedals) are cheap. I replaced seat with padded upgrade as soon as I purchased. Is it worth the money? Not entirely sure yet, time will tell when I start adding miles commuting from next week! Like the fold up, allows easy move in boot.
