Q: How long approx does it take to assemble as it's photographed??

It's been a while since I assembled mine but I think it was in the region of half an hour. Certainly under an hour. The instructions were very clear and showed the best order to do it. It's a one-person job, too - no need for anyone else to hold things in position.

Q: Do 30cmx30cm cubes fit in the holes

Not quite - to be sure to fit, I'd say 29.5W x 29.5H x 30 deep - the wire frames are spaced 30cm, so the wires take some space.

Q: Would these be big enough to hold clothes?

We use them for stock, folded shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts, boilersuits. It's all new stock we have and mostly all are pre-folded by the manufacturers. If it is using your own clothes they would need to folded to suit the size of the cube. A great buy for the money.

Q: Is it possible to create 15cm high shelvs from spare shelves? i.e. buy a larger pack and use the extra to make half shelves? 30cm is v. tall for shoes

I’ve done this using small cable ties to create paper storage within each cube
