If you want to effectively block loud noise, then this is not the product for you. I tried to wear these to a concert and had to swap for the usual cheapo ones because these just didn't block enough sound and weren't super comfortable. I like that they have a unique look, and for sleeping the shape would definitely be great. For the value, I think they're definitely worth a shot, but make sure you know that they won't be the best option available if you want to truly protect your hearing. These are more akin to a high fidelity earplug that will let more sound come through.
