The only thing I dislike about this, is that it didn't exist sooner. 😂 Easily the best camping air mattress I've ever used. It felt like sleeping in my own bed, because of the foam, it's great. I slept well, all night, on the ground, in the woods. No tossing and turning, and I felt rested in the morning. It's not loud or makes weird noises when you move around on it, and it feels soft to the touch instead of plastic or something. It will basically self inflate, but the bag it's stored in can be used as a pump, which is neat, but I bought the tiny pump for it. Inflates in under 10 minutes I think. It's a bit bulky, not for backpacking but if your worried about your back and want to camp, use this mattress, my 75yo dad approves. 👍 It seems well built and can support my fat butt so I recon it will yours too, and be comfy. 🥰

This is one amazing air mattress. I have never liked sleeping on air mattresses. This one is a game changer. I am 300lbs and it was so comfortable I slept better on this than on my own bed. Five stars. Highly recommend!!!!

Consider me the princess of the princess and the pea. I’ve tried everything. I had settled on bringing an air mattress when camping. But I was frustrated by 2 things: the cold and having to inflate it multiple times. Never mind how big it is and the fact that I needed a separate tool to inflate them. I have tried many sleep pads from Amazon and with each one, I woke up multiple times during the night with soreness. I didn’t inflate this all the way the first time, and I didn’t know what all the fuss was. I added more air and WOW! It not only helps to keep your body heat from being sucked out, but the comfort is unreal. I never felt the ground and my joints felt supported. It is easy to inflate, let it do it’s thing, then add manually to your firmness preference. It’s also super easy to deflate and it packs smallish. If you are having trouble getting comfortable camping, buy this. It’s a game changer for car camping.

I ordered one used and was advertised in fine condition. The one way valve did not function properly and leaked air out every time you added some. :(

I use the for camping and rafting. Its super comfortable and is quiet to sleep on. It doesn't make a lot of noise when moving around in bed. Very happy with this purchase!

I've got a Thermarest backpacking pad that's nearing 30 years old and still as good as new (given the fact that self-inflating still requires some manual work), so when it came time to look for a camp sleeping pad it was naturally the brand I went with. As a side sleeper I went with the XXL (odd sizing, since there is no L or XL!), which is wider. It also fits perfectly on my cot. Instructions are accurate - self-inflation is good to a point, then the sack comes in handy to complete the job. One quick note here - plugging sack into the "In" port may be challenging. As with most air mattresses, there is some settling, but I found that after one top up of air it remained the same level of comfort for several days - you don't have to re-adjust air and comfort level every night. It's not so bad, but if you're a squirmer there will be noise. Deflating - this isn't quite as friendly, and why "Easy to inflate" lost a star (a deflate rating would have had 1 star). It is indicated that the "In" and "Out" ports efficiently block air going in the other direction. I'm not sure this is true. In locking down the "In" port so that no air enters and opening the "Out" to roll up for storage, every time I took weight off the deflating pad it would fill again through the Out port. It is a big challenge to get this pad back to a size that will fit back in its storage bag and that's why I returned it - in a different box because I never did get it small enough to fit back into its original. I can take down and pack my tent more quickly than I can pack this bag away. Sorry Therm-a-Rest, almost perfect.

Okay, pros: Literally self inflating. You can sleep on your side comfortably and not hit the ground. Actually comfortable. 😳☺️ Perfect size for family camping and car camping. Cons: Too large when compressed for backpacking. Needs to remain uncompressed for long term storage. All in all… buy this thing. Unless you’re a hardcore backpacker who wants to sleep on the hard ground, this is a real mattresses that you will literally love. Never slept so well in a tent before. THANK YOU! 🙏

Ho acquistato il Therm-a-Rest MondoKing XXL su Amazon in vista di futuri viaggi e pernottamenti in tenda. Per il momento ho avuto modo di provarlo solo a casa, effettuando alcune prove di gonfiaggio, sgonfiaggio e riposizionamento nella sacca originale, ma le impressioni sono estremamente positive. Una volta gonfiato raggiunge uno spessore di circa 9,5-10 cm e offre una sensazione di comfort davvero notevole. La superficie è ampia e permette di muoversi comodamente durante il riposo, caratteristica particolarmente apprezzabile per chi, come me, è alto 190 cm. Mi ha colpito anche la praticità: dopo lo sgonfiaggio il materassino si arrotola con relativa facilità e rientra nella sua sacca senza particolari difficoltà. Non è sempre così con prodotti di queste dimensioni. La qualità costruttiva è quella che ci si aspetta da Therm-a-Rest: materiali robusti, finiture curate e una sensazione generale di prodotto progettato per durare nel tempo. Pur non avendolo ancora testato sul campo, le premesse sono eccellenti e ritengo che il MondoKing XXL sia una scelta ideale per chi cerca il massimo comfort in campeggio senza compromessi.
