We have a building up at our family vacation property that has a deadbolt. Right now we have the key hidden so everyone can get into the building. With the Probrico Fingerprint Smart Door Lock now I just have to register everyone’s fingerprint or share the passcode.The Probrico Fingerprint Smart Door Lock installed quickly and fit perfectly in the steel door.Everyone loves that they can get the building open right away and not have to go get the hidden key. It looks like it will work great for years. It is under an eve but it is weather resistant.I would recommend the Probrico Fingerprint Smart Door Lock.

Installation was fairly straightforward, except my husband didn't snap the connector between front and back all the way in so we had to take it apart to figure out why it didn't have power. We used this one to replace a 5 year old major brand one that the builder installed that was chewing threw batteries every 48 hours all of a sudden. I like the look and feel of this one, we chose the matte black and also ordered a matching handle. The quality looks good to me and I like it better then the one the builder installed. I give it 10 out of 5 for the app. I like the fact my husband and I can both be admins, we can 'share' electronic keys with others as long as they download the app and it's super easy to program in the previous pass codes we had in the old one. As a matter of fact the only reason I docked a star was because it took just shy of a month to recieve. Since the old one was broken, I would have liked it a tad bit sooner, especially since the pet sitter spent a weekend here during that time, but just a minor inconvenience.

I have noticed a lot of smart locks popping up with the Probrico branding, so I ordered a few. They have all been high quality with all the components working as expected. This specific lock was very easy to install, I had it done in about 20 minutes. The fingerprint reader easily read my fingerprints and the sensor has been accurate and responsive - the lock opens quickly after a read. The app isn't that great without a gateway - you have to be within Bluetooth distance to use it. But I have not found the app to be a key part of making this lock useful - the keypad and fingerprint reader do a good job. Overall, I'm happy with this lock and will order other Probrico branded locks.

I was excited to receive this product as an upgrade and replacement for my Kwikset keypad door lock. The Kwikset did not have an app or any connectivity, only had a simple number pad to open and unlock the deadbolt. It has been great up to this point, but there have been many nights where I was in bed and wondering if I had locked the deadbolt. This was the main reason for me looking at another "smart" deadbolt.First off all of the materials seem nice, but not premium. All of the bolts and screws are all coated black which is nice, but interior of the deadbolt appears to be a hard plastic instead of metal.Install was a breeze and the directions provided a great amount of details which is not always the case with items sold on Amazon. Even little things like pushing the wire below the bolt was included, which helped.The app that you need to download is useful and provides a lot of good features. Being able to program individual codes, sending codes via email or phone number and even putting time and date limits on passcodes is very handy. The best part is that anytime a code is used, there is a log of the individual using it to enter. This would be very helpful for AirBNB's.The reason that I am giving it 3 stars instead of 5 is that it does not address the main reason that I requested the item. I got this in hopes that I could lock the door via WIFI, but it does not work like this unless you get their gateway. It works via Bluetooth which means that you have to be within 6meters of the lock in order for it to work.I've also had issues with the app not working correctly. There are a lot of things that you can opt into, like auto locking, but I have tried several times and I am not able to use the function. I would love to see a automatic lock that is programmable by time so that way I always know the door is locked every night at 9:00 for example. Then I wouldn't even have to think about it.Overall this is a slight upgrade from my previous set up and I have more options via the app, but not exactly what I was hoping for.

Everything seems to work as expected. The device works like its should and looks nice. I was really excited to use the Biometric feature for the day I leave my keys inside and the wind blows the door shut, I can still get in easily. I wasn't able to use this lock however, It is cored with a 68 key and the rest of my lock are keyed to a 66 key. Being that its not a major brand core, it make be easy to rekey the lock to match any 68 key, it is much difficult to find a new core to match the lock. I do wish that manufacturers would state what the locks are cored too upfront so people don't have to order to find out if it will match existing hardware ro if it even compatible. If the lock offered a choice or cores I would have given a a full five stars at the the inexpensive price point listed
