Whether for frequent or occasional use, this sharpener truly lives up to expectations.

The media could not be loaded. When a product manages to make my disability a little less challenging, I have a hard time withholding my excitement. I attached a video showing this sharpener in use and discussing some of the features. I have arthritis, so sharpening a pencil becomes a painful and laborsome process for my hands. This sharpener makes the entire process hands-free, beyond simply putting the pencil into the sharpener. I have a manual-crank old-schoolhouse sharpener but the vibrations of turning the crank (feeling it grind the pencil) hurts my hands - not to mention just holding that tiny crank handle. And the smaller handheld sharpeners are often difficult for me to hold or they don't sharpen well. Other automated sharpeners I have used often require that I push the pencil in and hold it to sharpen; again, the vibrations are painful... or they eat through batteries. So this sharpener has resolved a lot of those issues for me. It has 5 different sharp/blunt levels depending on your needs and it is easy to empty. It is rechargeable via USB-C (2ft cable included, but no power brick). It can be used WHILE charging and the lights blink *blue* to show the level of charge. While in use, the blue lights will briefly blink to show you the current battery level. If the lights are red, it has low battery. Unlike most one-size sharpeners, it can sharpen a range of pencils from 6.9 - 11.5mm in size. If it jams, you don't have to worry about taking it apart because the pencil is automatically ejected and the broken pencil tip is dropped in with the shavings. The directions are detailed and informative; they explain the error-lighting should the unit go into overheat protection mode, etc. It cannot be overcharged; so any safety concerns have been addressed by the manufacturer. I honestly cannot brag enough about this, and although it may seem like such a simple thing - it is absolutely a game-changer for my hands and gives me a bit more independence instead of having to ask for help when I need to resharpen my colored pencils. Well worth the price!! 😍 It isn't heavy, but it has enough weight to it that it feels well built to last. I cannot recommend it enough. Ohhhhh and it is surprisingly quiet; I'm so used to the louder automated ones being used around my office (such a headache). The designers put a lot of thought into something people use daily, often in shared office spaces. And I realize this review may seem a bit over-the-top, but please imagine how hard it is for arthritic hands to grip a pencil... and then the tip breaks and you have to sharpen it. Some days I just don't bother and I take a break from using pencils entirely because having to sharpen them reduces how long I am able to use them once the pain becomes too much.

Once I got it charged up, this pencil sharpener works like a dream. It's easy to use and looks great on my desk. It sharpens quickly and while the motor is not what I would call quiet, it's not obnoxiously loud, either. I did find that I need to push the pencils down a bit to get them sharpened, but after that everything was fully automatic. The chamber is also large enough to hold many shavings, so it won't need to be emptied very often. Removing the cap to empty the chamber wasn't quite as easy as I thought it would be -- I had to work it a bit first to remove it and to tighten it back on -- but fortunately, I shouldn't need to empty it often. One of the things I like most about this pencil sharpener is its size. Most of the sharpeners I've owned to this point were very small (even the automatic ones), and I am notoriously losing them. While this one is not portable like the others, I definitely won't be losing this one. I highly recommend this pencil sharpener.

This has been one of my favorite little classroom tools so far this year! It's quick and easy with no having to guess whether the pencil is sharpened. They turn out well EVERY time, unlike with my big xacto sharpener. I've put golf pencils, standard pencils, fat pre-k pencils, and colored pencils through it all with no problem at all, and no having to adjust dials! It self-adjusts to fit all sizes. It's quiet and compact. If I wanted to allow it, the kids would have no trouble learning to use it!

It's the best automatic pencil sharpener I've ever used. My co-worker has a different model and you have to push the pencil in harder than what this one requires.This sharpener puts a perfect point on your pencil. I noticed even on the most blunt setting, the tip is still suitable for writing.

So far success. I really am pleased with the unit so far. Easy to sharpen both pencil and pencil crayons. If doing it by hand there is usually some unexpected slight angle/twist but with this all I have to do is place the pencil, it grabs it and returns it sharpened. If it keeps this up I’ll be happy.
