Don't last long
I was recommended these brushes by an artist on Youtube, so I got a couple. They worked well for a short time but quickly lost their points. I consider them ok if you can dispose of them and buy a new one to use when they lose their points. Mine only lasted a very short time so I was disappointed.

Superb brush for use with all water media.
I love this Winsor & Newton Cotman Water Colour Series 777 Short Handle Synthetic Brush - Aquarelle 3/4"! It's the first flat brush I've purchased for watercolors and it holds so much water/paint it seems I can paint an entire monochrome painting with just one load. The bristles are a little stiffer than on the Princeton round watercolor brushes I have, so it provides much more control over the brush strokes and does so without any compromise in loading. This one can also be used effectively with gouache and heavy body, AND fluid acrylic paint. An all-around superb brush for use with all water media.

A Good Brush Value
I have been painting miniature figures for years as a hobby and although my series 7 is my go to, these brushes rock. They hold a point and paint well and snap back nicely but most of all they take a beating and last. For the tasks that need detail work but not series 7 use these brushes.

Series 999 Mop
a must have for watercolor. obsessed. so good for putting on like a thin tint-ish layer over other things. wish it was cheaper but that's always kinda what you get when you buy quality art supplies :/

Great for varnishing.
Great for varnishing. I had bought a cheap 3 pack of brushes for $8 and the bristles separated and left big streaks of varnish in my painting; seen in the last picture. So I decided to spend a little more and this brush saved the day as seen in the first pic. The second and third picture shows after I cleaned it and it cleaned up great leaving the bristles nice and soft again. It was a little more than what I wanted to spend on a brush but when it comes to your art, don’t go cheap on art materials.

You can use this tool to make a smeary mess, then give yourself a big pat on the back.
These brushes can help you make a nice painting if you are not an untalented idiot, as most of the people who use these things think they are gods just because they call themselves artists or such things. Beware of the people who use these tools, they will try to trick you into giving them money for a smeary mess they made under the guise that they are expressing themselves. Only one in a thousand people who use these tools deserve to be alive, really. I am that one person in a thousand because the smeary messes I make with these tools are superior to almost all other smeary messes. It's a sad world that values self expression over skill, but the users of these tools have an edge over politicians, the only group of people more vain and incompetent than artists.

Nice brush
Great brushes for learning! Sturdy, quality, soft brushes with some snap and good water water control.

Nice brush
Decent amount of water intake, nice control and stiffness but not too stiff.

What’s the point?
The whole point of a rigger brush is the point and long bristles to hold lots of pigment for long, continuous lines. This brush has long bristles but NO point—more like a blunt edge.

Excellent brush for the money
The above painting was detailed using the Windsor and Newton brush. It comes to a fine point for detail work and can be used for smaller areas as well. Nice when a brush can do several areas of a painting.

Does not hold its point.
The tip splits even when soaked in ink. It doesn't hold its point. I do not recommend this one. Added dec. 27. After treating the brush with a brush cleaner and conditioner it returned to its original pointed shape. It will do the job I bought it for.
