After exhaustive searches he was unable to locate such a product so in good old-fashion tradition created it himself. Most people that see our product are impressed by both its simplicity and ability to live up to its name of Really Useful Box. The concept is one of those obvious products that should have been available years ago. From 1999 it took a year before we had a repeatable product that passed our vigorous quality requirements. Not only did they make sure the boxes were in good condition, but they also put a lot of effort into packaging them and sending them. There are some of these boxes advertised and when they arrive they are not as strong or really thin material, these boxes are solid, strong, clean and really useful. I will recommend them and buy them again and again from this supplier only every time because I have had a great experience and received a durable and reliable product, packaged to the highest standard they are an example others should follow. Review: Sturdy, with a capital 'S'... - Dropped off by courier yesterday and all in perfect condition thankfully - I've only just read that returning these is not really an option due to the hassle and cost of doing so (desertcart won't pay the full amount for returns of this size, unsurprisingly). But I was surprised by the weight of the box the UPS guy handed me - this for the 2x84L + 1x64L box selection - so I weighted the contents. The 84L boxes weigh 3.38Kgs while the 64L comes in at 3Kgs even. For completeness, the cardboard box they come in weighed 1.9Kgs. I cite their weights 'cos I already have 6 others storage boxes bought from different manufacturers over the years, all close to 64L capacity, and all are considerably 'flimsier' - judging by their weight, or lack thereof! The one I weighed for comparison came in at just 2.1Kgs, so almost 1Kg lighter than the new 64L box of equal volume. Compared to the boxes I already had, these new ones seem very sturdy indeed. The vertical 'ribs' that surround their outsides, act as reinforcement, so it looks like many loaded boxes could be stacked on one another. Another thing I like about them is their 'squareness'. All of my other box-sides taper outward markedly from the base up, whereas these have sides that are close to 90 degrees to the horizontal base. This makes storing 'boxes within boxes' (items of regular box-like dimensions) a much neater affair. While the lids are not air-tight, the snap-closed handles should keep whatever is being stored, safe & dry for many years. I really cannot find anything to criticise here. They are sturdy, stackable even if you have heavy stuff in the top one. The lids don’t break. And they are ... big! I bought the biggest set of 2x84L and 1x64L. Yes, they seem expensive but for the quality, they are not. I bought them after throwing my old chests of drawers while de cluttering my house. No moths, bugs or mice will get into them and my clothes are protected. I simply hide them behind the door as my family thinks I am weird because they are not as pretty as furniture but I will never have chest of drawers again. I bought storage plastic boxes before, cheaper and as promising, but they would not be as strong as these or lids would be Ill-fitted. I bought one set first to try and I found them so good, I bought another one. And I will buy another next month to store everything safely. I consider them an investment. And if I should move, everything will be already packed, in a way. Win, win! 10th April 2020 I am editing this review: since my original review, I bought another 3 sets. They all have been deliver fast and intact. They are a life saver. No more clutter in my house. I will always buy these from now on. Maybe not the 84 litre, they are huge. So convenient too. But I think the 64 ltr are more than enough for my needs.
