Learning Resources Cuisenaire Rods Introductory Set, 74 Rods

Arrived in excellent conditions and earlier than expected.

These are great for building number sense. You can use them in so many ways.

These are great.

I had a wonderful set of these when my children were small and wanted to use them to teach in my classroom. The rods are okay but there are not enough rods to do anything past 40 for multiplication or division. No "poster" was included as advertised. I would have preferred a sturdier case, the one included is very flimsy, just packaging, not a container.

Regardless of the packaging, the Cuisinart rods were there. I thought because of the way the packaging in this picture was different than the one that I received. I thought I was going to receive like a little manual even though the package I did receive has a manual. It doesn't look the same way so I didn't see why this one was any different than the other one provided by the same resource vendor. If that makes sense. Either way, I will be able to use these in the way that I attend to, which is to help students concrete their number sense ideas. In terms of addition subtraction, it's aversatile tool that you can be used to give the foundations for addition. Subtractions multiplication division and eventually leads to fractions and decimals.
