I have a large aquarium which makes water changes quite an undertaking.I use this pump to put clean water back in after siphoning. I submerge the pump into the large bucket (which is on the floor) with the clean water and use a tube running from the pump to the tank (which is at desk height) to pump the water. This saves lifting large amounts of water up to the tank.It requires no priming and pumps at a decent speed for what I need.

Excellent little pump!Works well as both a submerged & inline pump.It can require submersion (or other priming method) to get it started if using it inline, but once it's started, it pumps really well and very quietly.Excellent value, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.Note that the fittings are for 19mm (3/4 inch) inside diameter hoses. Ordinary garden hose will NOT fit without adapters.

Has been used almost daily for months and has performed well. May buy another. One problem it does not come with an outlet hose which I eventually bought from an aquatics centre at 3£ per metre.
