Excellent book

Emma clearly wrote this for younger readers. It's not a picture book at all. And it is probably beneath mid to late teen readers. This is a book that intended to be marked up, not left in as new condition. Emma and Captain Hudson write using English idiom, but she does a good job of explaining the differences between British English and US English. The guide is jut that, it's a guide for the younger reader in preparing for a holiday (aka vacation) on a cruise ship. She addresses the fun stuff, the stuff that might be of concern, esp. to a younger reader, and some of the mundane. If parents or grandparents get involved with the young reader in going through the various sections, everyone can join in the fun of preparing for a cruise ship vacation.

Absolutely love this book, it has some great little activities but it’s also so informative and I love the notes from Emma, my son is autistic and this is part of his Christmas present in preparation for our cruise which leaves early January and I just know it will really really help him prepare as it is so informative and so well written with relevant info for a good age range and the advice at the end about disembarkation is just fabulous, some of it could even help adults which I love, thank you Emma for creating this book

This interactive book allows space for the reader to make plans, jot down notes, journal and even start their own novel. This book brilliantly explains the most basic information everyone needs to start cruising. Affective for any age 7+. Brilliant!

The book is so cute and is great for kids!

10 out of 5 stars! My son LOVES Captain Hudson’s adventures and journeys! It is a perfect read for him and is exactly what he hoped it would be! He asked us daily when it was coming! Emma does an amazing job of helping people of all ages enjoy travel and this is no different for youth!
