Such a great toy for kids and adults alike
If your kids are not spoiled with electronics, this is the perfect choice! These robots were on my 4 year olds collage wish list from school. He just thought they looked cool. Well, I decided to get them and am so glad I did. I have kids from 4 to 12 years old and they all LOVED battling each other with these. I also had a lot of fun beating my husband with these! The kids even got their grandfather to play with these too. Fun for the whole family at a fairly low cost, considering two can use them. They don't go backwards, but your robot can punch his way around to change directions. They are fun to watch and even more fun when you knock your opponent's head off. We haven't had any technical issues with these. Both worked perfectly.

Punches to drive; Uses fists for momentum.
This is a one-day toy. It doesn't actually drive. The robots are controlled by a servo in the hips which swing the fists. The momentum of the fists move the robots in a nearly 2' circle, hopefully connecting with the opponent. It could be a good toddler toy if you use them in a makeshift boxing ring. Personally, I would not get this for kids who are capable with RC cars or robots.

Money well spent
They are of a decent size. A cool feature is a single-player mode, which is good for times when thief friends are unavailable. The steering isn't the greatest, it moves forward and awkwardly left to right. There is no reverse. All in all, my son, who turned 8, loved them and they keep him busy for a while.

Fun for all ages
These battle robots are silly and great for intertainment with the kiddos. However, they don't "drive" very easily. They don't reverse and are difficult to turn around. We find ourselves picking them up to re-face each other often. But they still get a bunch of laughs and are fun to play with. Recommend use on non-carpet flooring

They don’t drive or steer. Just swing their arms wildly which makes it almost impossible to fight towards each other without guiding them with your hands.
