What is the difference between this and the woundseal powder 4 package? Can one use a q-tip if the applicator is lost?

The 'special applicator' mentioned in this product reminds me of a running joke from the Mass Effect computer game series -- the Quarians (alien race) call a particular item an Emergency Induction Port. Humans (and everybody else) just calls them straws. The applicator in this is just a slightly oversized Q-tip, so a Q-tip should work just fine.

Does this work for gums?

You should not use this on your gums! It is fantastic at stopping bleeding eeternally!

Is it ok to store this in a hot environment ( like a car first aid kit)?

I know it’s stable for a long time. I used one after like five years. And it’s sealed. My guess would be yes, but as with each item if your first aid kit, they should be changed every year. Especially with heat issues. Warmly, Anne
