Works great! Just press it into the chamber / cylinder far enough to not be on all the time
Put some oil on this thing, smash it into the chamber far enough that the firing pin only sets it off momentarily when the trigger is pulled. I had to press it really hard with the flat end of a plastic ball point pen or a chop stick. This is a low cost way to get some dry fire practice with an app like Mantis Laser Academy.

Great for the price
I love this little thing for not only training but it's also great for helping to sight in your shots.Granted it's not 100% accurate.but it does get you closer for sighting in then a regular bore sighter. And best thing is after that you can train any time you like .As a whole I would recommend having one just for the fun and training purposes to help improve your grip ,draw and being able to improve getting your sight picture and know where your shots land.

Product is fun for training
Wasn't able to get these delivered from Amazon but got through EBay. They fit well into my wife's revolver and she has been practicing hard. The cost of 6 was about the same as 1000 primers to reload. These can be shot 10s of thousands of times as they come with extra batteries. Very good way to learn a handgun indoors.

I think it will work now.
I purchased this device for dry fire practice with a bolt action firearm. For me, the laser cartridge slides in with a reasonable amount of resistance but the bolt will not close. The cartridge is machined nicely and appears to be made of brass. I was able to remove a few thousandths of length by removing the switch cap and carefully filling, stoning, and then deburring the open end of the cartridge where the batteries are inserted. Very little material needed removed. Now the laser cartridge fits and functions as it should. With the above issue solved, I can say that the laser cartridge works well, is reasonably bright, and does what I need it to do.Some have mentioned that this can't be used as a bore sighter. In a bolt action gun, the firing pin normally stays extended after firing until the action is operated again. As long as the firing pin pushes the switch button, the laser will stay on. With a little ingenuity, this laser cartridge can be used as a bore sighter in most situations.

PERFECT!
I have an 20yr old laser cartridge that still works. But it works best with a trigger reset assembly. The TipFun Laser Trainer works PERFECTLY. Allows you to do a full rack without ejecting cartridge! Rather than a very small partial slide rack to reset the trigger! FUN FUN FUN!

Terribly disappointed - not quite worthless but close
I don't know what to say. I'm so disappointed in this item. It will fit in the chamber if you slam the bolt down, but then you have to take a wooden dowel (1/4") and a hammer to get it to come back out. It's that tight! I put a pair of calipers on it and it was a bit bigger than the .308 brass. Not much - a fraction of a millimeter - but enough to get it to jam in the gun. I have one by another company that I also got off of Amazon. Yes, I use a wooden dowel to dislodge it, but it's very easy to do. I've even tried putting oil on the o-rings of this new one and the laser itself - nothing changed. Also, once the hammer hits the sensor on the back, there is no rebound effect - in other words, the laser stays on for several seconds until it times out or until you release the pressure on it. It's not supposed to be that way, but, as they say in programming, this "glitch" could be a hidden feature.

Not Accurate
Purchased these for some firearms training I conduct. They work well but were not accurate. If you're using these to improve your marksmanship or to teach others marksmanship I would skip these. There was no adjustment on them.
