I bought the Philips Air Purifier 0920 Series during the Republic Day sale in Delhi for ₹7,692 with a card offer. Living in Delhi where AQI is often around 500-800, this purifier has made a big difference. During the day, it brings AQI down to 45–50, and at night it drops as low as 10 (it goes to 1, but that would not be an accurate value honestly) when the room is still. It shows AQI on the display and has auto mode, fan speed control, sleep mode, and display on/off. There is no app control or PM meter, for that, the 0950 series is required. Works well for rooms up to 200–250 sq. ft. Overall, a very good purifier for the price and Delhi pollution levels. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) – one star less for no PM meter.

I recently purchased a Philips air purifier, and I can honestly say it has been a life-changing—and even life-saving—addition to my home. In my area, some local pottery families fire their clay pots in the evenings, which creates a lot of smoke in the air. Even with all windows and doors closed, the smoke would still seep inside and cause discomfort and suffocation for me. But ever since I started using the Philips air purifier, the difference has been incredible. Within minutes of switching it on, the air becomes noticeably cleaner and fresher. I can breathe easily again without irritation or that heavy feeling in my chest. The purifier works quietly, efficiently, and consistently. I especially appreciate how quickly it detects changes in air quality and adjusts its settings automatically. We bought a Philips Air Purifier just before Diwali anticipating the onslaught of bad air days in Delhi. the product was delivered on time and setting it up was quite easy. I was happy that it was running in our house and atleast inside the house we were protected from the terrible pollution outside in Gurgaon. The product is good and has a real time PM2.5 monitor and corresponding led lights to let you know how bad the pollution is inside the house. Typical activities such as cooking would instantly raise Pm2.5 levels in the house. However the filter seemed good in the sense that after a few hours you would notice that the levels had been brought down. About once a week you would get an alert to clean the pre-filter. Cleaining the pre-filter is as easy as washing it in running water. Then 4 days back we got an "A3" message on the machine. Checking the manual, we got to understand that the air filter was signalling that the TrueHepa filter was clogged and needed changing. As the machine was just about a month old we contacted Philips. The support technician came the next day and suggested we change both the carbon filter and the TrueHepa Filter. We agreed. THEN HE ASKED US TO PAY RS3400 FOR THE FILTER REPLACEMENT!!!! When we protested stating that the machine was just a month old, he said that warranty does not cover the filters and since air pollution was bad outside, the machine was asking for a change. Our questions: If the air quality is good outside, who buys an air purifier? Also, we stay in Gurgaon, which has consistently had the best air quality in all of NCR this entire season. Infact the last week or so, the air quality is "Satisfactory" or "Good" in Gurgaon. Next, why is this disclosure not made that you need to spend 3400 every month on a recurring basis if you buy this product? This is a product where the running costs are tremendous. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!! Please purchase alternate brands and get value for money!!!

I have purchased the air purifier in Nov 2025 & writing its feedback in feb 2026 after 4 months. I had developed cough allergy in Delhi NCR in 2024 & went through medication in allopathy in many big hospitrals of Delhi, homeopathy & Ayurved but have not got any permanent solution. I was not able to sleep whole night. then during smog season, i purchased the philips air purifier & read some reviews that it helped few customers in preventing allergy and within 1 month my coughing also stopped & now i am living a normal life. The AQI from 500 goes to 50-70 in my 12* 8 feet room, but i am satisfied because of relieving from cough. I have dog also who sleeps in my room may be this is the reason that AQI do not decrease further. seeing cost & benefits in allergy, i recoomend the same to every one.

Air purifier seems to work by cleaning the air and most of the time able to drop reading below 100 if doors and windows are closed. App also works perfectly. However, there are a few problems. 1. It is very noisy on turbo mode and if the mode is changed to sleep, the purifier is not that efficient. Most of the times, it is required to always keep the purifier on turbo mode and then it interferes with daily routine due to noise. So, it reduces air pollution but increases noise pollution. 2. Filters need cleaning more often especially if you are living in highly polluted city. 3. This blows out cool air, so could be a problem in winter season.
