It then lets the battery discharge a little before topping it up again. The yellow light shows the battery is connected to the conditioner and will be on the whole time the battery is connected. The green light, below the yellow one, shows when the battery is being charged. So, when you first connect the battery, both the green and yellow lights will come on as the battery is being charged. After a while the green light will go off when the battery is fully charged. I tried replacing them with another type, but with no success. So now I've replaced the unit with a more expensive CTEK MXS 5.0.
