The none stainless parts may be the ball or spring, did not investigate to much, a touch of grease or oil should stop rust, easy of install down to your competence, good price and quite well made.The depression in the striking plate is to wide for the ball, the ball needs to locate on the rising angled edge of the plate, so the plate is mounted to one side a small amount, giving a positive pull in of the door, rather than the ball moving back and forth in the flat area in the depression bottom.If you understood that you will figure it out.

Overall it’s ok but for the price I think it needs a bevelled polished chrome nut to cover the exposed thread and add a nice finish. I have about 7mm of thread showing and it simply does not look finished.That said, I have ordered more simply because the choice is poor and the overall quality is good. Would be great to have the bevelled nuts though.

Very Easy to install, i used these on a bedroom door as i'm too lazy to put in a full twistable handle/lock.The adjustable ball makes it really easy to fit to any door size as well, so if u have quite a large gap between sideboard and door u can adjust accordingly.

Lots of play in screw threads so ball catch moves quite a lot, which is poor, locking nut required but otherwise good quality, not sure I'd buy again.
