Great for car-camping
Great tent for car camping. I'm 6'3' and since a typical camping trip involves changing from hiking gear to golfing clothes, to mountain biking gear, I wanted a tent tall enough to stand up in. This works, in spades. I like the square floor dimensions - can set up the tent in any orientation. With the nearly vertical walls, has more than enough room for me and my wife, and a ton of gear. Although a large tent, it can be set up by one person. Great ventilation, even with the rain fly on since the entire vestibules (or just their doors) can be tied back. Apparently an upgrade from the previous models, the large main door screen has a zipped privacy panel, so you can leave the vestibule tied back for ventilation AND still get some privacy.

Good quality
Well thought out design. Lots of ventilation for comfortable sleep.

Excellent tent for a family of 5 or more. Make no mistake about it, this is a car camping tent.
This tent is discontinued which is a shame because it is the best tent I have ever owned and I do a lot of camping.Tones of space, front and back door, great little features (such as privacy screens, reflective materials (to find your tent at night) and noiseless zippers) and the bottom material is very durable.Don't spend the money if you are not a frequent camper. If you like to camp and want a tent that will last you a decade or so, this is an excellent choice

whimpy zippers, filling the land fill
WHY WHY WHY do these companies use delicate, flimsy zippers on the tent body doors when such a tent is going to be possibly used by families and possibly used a lot!? My Marmot Halo was used a handful of times when the zippers blew. I am an experienced camper of 46 years (actually designed and tested tents). The material is so tight on either side of the zippers that it stresses them and makes it difficult to close, especially if temperatures change to cause the material to contract or shrink. Pitching it "lose" did not resolve this issue. Marmot did warranty it and send an entirely new tent (fly, body, stakes, poles) but we pitched it and can see how these zippers are going to fail too. Too bad they don't just warranty the body (or repair the zippers but this is expensive) because now we are stuck with a useless new fly, poles and more stakes. BTW, the nearest repair place to me was Rainy Pass Repair and they charge $21/foot to replace a tent zipper!!! (that's over $400 to replace 2 door zippers). I'll keep the Marmot but for tough camping where one needs reliability, I bought a Spring Bar tent. Custom out of Utah. My friend has one that is 32 years old and it still has it's original BEEFY zippers.

WoW, this is what I needed for camping years ago
I’ve only set this up in the backyard and it takes 5-10 minutes by myself. Super nice comfortable size and height compared to the shorter height smaller tents that I own. It will be an absolutely nice tent for 4 people and all our gear for a couple weeks in the woods, 6 might be tight. Very nice construction and heavier size poles. Great height being 6’ 1” and still room to stand without being hunched over. It has great reviews so I’m for sure looking forward to camping with it this summer.

DRY IN A DELUGE
The media could not be loaded. This is an AMAZING tent. First time out of the box, we set it up in complete darkness in about ten minutes. Got about three inches of rain the second night and stayed completely dry. Two + inches of rain pooled under the floor of the tent, but not a drop came through. Ventilation is great- only negative was considerable condensation on the underside of the vestibule fly. We didn't have wind with the storm, but the rain would have collapsed or old tent no doubt. This is the perfect size tent for glamping with two cots and lots of 'stuff'.

Tent had defects right out of the box
We purchased this tent in December of 2021 but didn't use it until March. I failed to open the tent before our first trip and now realize that was a mistake.3 of the 5 poles were in pieces where the elastice cord connecting all of the pieces was in two pieces. They did not appear to be cut. It appeared that the elastic cord was simply never connected. We also had 3 holes in the rainfly, one screen that had several small holes in it and at least one hole in the tent itself.Once I field repaired the tent poles and had the tent set up, we absolutly love it.If I had opened it earlier, I would have returned it immedialty. I trust the Marmot brand and can only assume that quality control was on a break or this specific tent had been returned previously and not checked out.
