ProMarinerProsport 6 Battery Charger, 6 Amp, 12V, Beige (SS-SMS-430068)

Using for a class 78 AGM Duracell battery. Read through the specs and recommendations on Duracell's website and this maintainer appeared to meet the mark in spec and functional quality. So far has functioned flawlessly. This is actually the second one purchased, the previous one went with an old Polaris 6x6 UTV. New one replaced older Battery Minder in a newer Polaris that was zapped by a storm earlier this year. The Battery Minder device is also outstanding, but has slightly more features than needed for this particular task. Both devices recommended depending on your application. For more rugged Marine type applications, or for larger UTV's with second battery this charger works very well. Battery Minder lasted 9 years in harsh service conditions (vibration, extreme cold and heat.) The last ProMariner had for 18 months before passing it on to the new owner in fully functional operation. Hopefully will give as good service.

Worked flawlessly for two years and four months. Died August 3rd 2019I was expecting a longer life with this one. I have a 1000 watt inverter and two 90 amp hr AGM batteries in the garage to operate the door openers independent of the AC power. This charger is maintaining the batteries at 13.4 volts but I'm using the gel type battery profile instead of the AGM/flooded profile. This seems to narrow the swing between absorb and float modes better. It seems well built and runs much cooler than the previous charger I was using.

Worked well for 15 months and then it just stopped working and will not power up. Trying to work with Promariner to obtain a replacement. Just left them a call back request message on their service line, we will see how it goes.Update the service department was great. I shipped my defective unit to them and after testing, they shipped me a new unit in return.

Excellent product easy install

time will tellgive 3 stars as I am more weary of how long will last,just replaced an almost similar unit that lasted only 2 yeas,I said almost identical as this model added some extra refinements like conditioning and a led for maintenance.Otherwise same unit as far as power.Install is just finding a place to place it and connect both wire to battery.It did recognize a dead battery and will not charge as was below trigger point,that is controversial feature but safety demands it.Once had the battery gain some charge with an ordinary car battery charger,the ProMariner was able to take over and recharge without issues.Again,will increase stars after 2 years if it lasts/

Installed it on my pontoon boat, works perfectly, no more worrying about a dead battery

This charger is being used to maintain a battery for a 17.5 KW RV generator. It mounted quickly and has been keeping the battery in shape for several months.

I like that i never have to climb in boat with portable charger this unit just plug in
