I love the taste of this Community Coffee Breakfast Blend instant coffee! I was actually buying the regular, non-instant version for a while from my local supermarket. I didn't even know they made instant coffee until I did some searching online.Appearance: The instant coffee itself is almost like a finely ground powder. (That's the best way I can describe it.) If I had to compare it to something, I'd say it's like a coarsely ground hot chocolate powder in terms of texture and appearance. The coffee itself mixes just as expected in hot water.Ease of use: For me, instant coffee is just quicker for me to make a cup. Especially in the morning when I'm on the go, as opposed to using a French press with ground coffee beans.Smoothness: Very smooth flavor. Breakfast Blend is definitely perfect for me for early morning. Tastes great!Strength: One spoonful is perfect for a standard size coffee mug. It's not overly powerful for me, like Folgers instant coffee can be.Value: I can say that this coffee is a tad pricey, but it's definitely worth the money if you want to have a great tasting cup of coffee! I'd say to definitely give it a try if you're looking for something different than the "major" brand name instant coffees at your local stores!

I bought 2 of the signature blend dark roast instant jars. They're exactly what you're looking for if you like dark roast instant. It's fresh, and has that memorable dark roast taste, but it's not overly bitter, smoky-tasting, or sour.

What a pleasant surprise and a big relief when I took the first sip of this coffee. You see, I had meant to order Community Coffee Coffee and Chicory. I had ordered the Chicory Medium-Dark Roast from Amazon before. (I used to drink the same coffee 30 years ago. I searched for Instant Community Coffee and Chicory everywhere and until I found it on Amazon, I had no luck. I had intended to re-order the Community Chicory and Coffee, also the great tasting Community brand I bought in Mississippi 30 years ago. I was curious as to if I might buy a dark roast chicory and thought I had found it. I realized my mistake when my package arrived and saw that it wasn't dark roast and chicory. My heart sank, no chicory and coffee for me, I hoped it was worth it. I had ordered Community Coffee Dark Roast by mistake and decided to give it a try.Community Coffee Dark Roast is the best coffee I have tasted. It beats all other fresh brewed and instant coffees that I have tasted! I don't regret for an instant (pun) my mistake ordering the wrong coffee. It has changed my coffee preferences to coffee preference. Community Coffee Dark Roast is, hands down, the best. I adjusted the recommended one teaspoonful to a hardier 2½ teaspoonfuls because I love strong coffee. It stays bold and smooth, never bitter. It's a bargain as well. I highly recommend this coffee.

I’m a picky coffee snob. I’ve roasted coffee for fun and learned a lot about the whole process. I would never enjoy instant coffee. I don’t know how anyone could. But sometimes I want to make coffee things and brewing coffee makes so sense.This is where this coffee shines. Put some amount of this coffee and some amount of sugar in a jar/bottle. Fill with vodka and let it hang out for a few days. Shake occasionally. You end up with a delicious drink! This is also pretty good if you want to add a bit more coffee flavor to your coffee. Maybe you got too much creamer in it. Add a bit of this and it’s fixed. The flavor is surprisingly decent and it almost hurts to type that. Again, I couldn’t drink this as my coffee but in certain situations this stuff is really great to have on hand.

I have tried dark roast instant coffee from other brands and none compare to this Community brand. It is a dark roast, but smooth and not bitter in my opinion. I like this better than drip coffee and it is so easy to make. Tip: instant coffee burns if you pour boiling water over it, causing a bad or bitter flavor. Pour a little room temp water and stir the coffee before pouring hot water into your cup. This step has made a huge difference on the taste of instant coffee for me.

My best friend lives in another state and she swears by this product. I’ve been ordering this for her for over three years. Prices increased since the last order but buying more was worth it.

So I'm trying to find a rough equivalent to my morning cuppa: Peet's French Roast or Major Dickason's (mixed to bring half caff in large quantity). I've tried a few and this wasn't the worst but I find the "Dark Roast" descriptor to be very misleading. This might be dark to people who only drink blonde coffees but this is definitely not a dark roast flavor nor color and it's quite sour (which is how I experience lighter roasts). It's medium at best in color and has all the sourness of a typical medium to light. If you're looking for French/Espresso/Dark roast, move on. If you're looking for something a little darker than a light roast, it might suit you.

I love this product! It looks s great for a quick cup.
